5.4 STARTING UP THE ENGINE
TURNING ON THE MOWER'S ELECTRONIC SYSTEM
ƒ Insert the ignition key into the hole in the main switch.
ƒ Turn the key to the ON position. The display will light up on the information panel and the automatic diagnostics
of the mower's electronic systems will take place.
CONDITIONS FOR STARTING THE ENGINE
The engine of the riding mower can only be started under the following conditions:
- the driver must be sitting in the seat;
- The drive of the mowing deck must be disengaged;
- The brake pedal must be pushed down or the brake must be set by means of the parking brake;
- the hood must be closed;
- the forward or reverse travel pedal must not be stepped on.
If these conditions are not met, the condition that was not met will appear on the display in error messages.
The engine is prevented from starting up.
If the conditions are met, no error message will be shown on the display. The engine is permitted to start up.
STARTING UP
When all the conditions are met, start up the engine:
Push down the brake pedal.

Set the throttle lever to position MAX.
ƒ
Mowers with a petrol engine: Pull out the choke.
ƒ
Mowers with a diesel engine: Wait until the glow plug indicator turns off (cca 10 s) (
ƒ
Turn the key to the START position and start up the engine.
ƒ
As soon as the engine starts up, release the ignition key. It will automatically return to the ON position.
ƒ
The duration of starting up must not exceed 5 seconds, otherwise there is danger of damage to the
switch.
If you are unable to start up the engine, wait 10 seconds before attempting to start it again.
Push in the choke as soon as possible after starting up the engine (only on mowers with a petrol engine).
