INSPECTIONS
When you have finished mowing, always inspect:
The condition of the guard tube located in front of the front axle of the mower. The tube serves to protect
ƒ
the rotating parts of the mowing deck drive, and in the event that it become excessively deformed, it is
necessary to replace it.
The condition of the guard tubes on the mowing deck and grass catcher. The tubes serve to protect these
ƒ
parts and in the event that they are excessively deformed, it is necessary to replace them.
Condition of the mowing deck – mowing blades, fastening pins, mowing deck enclosure, etc.
ƒ
The condition of the universal joint shaft and belt pulleys on the underside of the mower. The cover serves
ƒ
to protect these parts against impacts with obstacles. In the event that it is deformed, it is necessary to
straighten or replace it so that no part of the cover is touching the belt pulley. Otherwise, this poses a risk
of destruction of the belt gear.
6.3 REGULAR CHECKS, MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENTS
LIFTING THE MOWER
For certain maintenance and adjustment tasks, it is necessary to have access to the bottom parts of the mower.
If you don't have an inspection pit or a lifting platform, it is necessary to lift the mower be means of standard
available lifting equipment such as a car jack, supports, drive-ramps or a cradle mower lift.
Ensure that the selected lifting mechanism is rated for the weight of the mower
PARAMETERS.
Never lift the mower by the plastic components or lean it against them.
ATTENTION: A tilted or lifted mower is less stable than a mower standing on its wheels and inattentiveness
my result is the risk of a serious injury.
Due to the high weight of the mower, work performed on a tilted or raised mower require greater care.
In the event that you are uncertain about the procedure for lifting the mower, please contact the vendor
of an authorised service centre.
Lifting the rear part of the mower:
Insert a suitable wedge underneath both front wheels to prevent the mower from spontaneously
ƒ
riding off.
Place the lifting mechanism underneath the ROPS frame and lift up (tilt) the mower.
ƒ
Place an appropriate wooden support underneath the rear axle.
ƒ
If you have a crane available, connect it to the protective frame.
ƒ
Lifting the front part of the mower:
Insert a suitable wedge underneath both rear wheels to prevent the mower from spontaneously
ƒ
riding off.
Remove the grass catcher or raise it up to approximately half its lift height.
ƒ
Place the lifting mechanism underneath the front bracket (1) and lift the front part of the mower. The
ƒ
mower can be raised to the position, where the rear part of the protective frame touches the ground.
If you have a crane available, connect it to the front ballast.
