TRAVELLING ON A SLOPE
The mower may work on slopes with an incline of up to 12° (21%). when travelling on any slope up to the
specified incline angles, it is always necessary to pay increased care and attention. Remember, there is no
such thing as a safe slope.
When working on a slope, adhere to the following fundamentals:
Always accelerate gradually on a slope and use the lowest travel speed. Accelerate and decelerate gradually

and calmly. Drive in the same way.
Brake gradually.
ƒ
Do not ride perpendicular to the slope. Only ride perpendicular to the contour, i.e. up and down.
ƒ
In the direction of the contour is permitted only when turning the mower. When turning, always reduce the
ƒ
travel speed and ensure that a wheel does not drive over an elevated obstacle (rock, tree root, etc.).
Travel slower when travelling down a slope or over obstacles. Be especially careful when turning.

If you stop on a slope, always use the parking brake.
ƒ
The weight of a full grass catcher increases the risk of the mower rolling over!
PUSHING THE MOWER
The pump of the hydraulic transmission is equipped with a so-called bypass, which serves to disengage the
transmission for driving the rear wheels and thus enables the pushing or towing of the mower without using
the engine.
When the mower is pushed, power steering is not active, therefore expect that more force will be
required to turn the mower.
ACTIVATING THE BYPASS FOR PUSHING
Open the hood.

The hydraulic transmission pump (1) is located on the left side of the mower (when viewing the
ƒ
mower from the front). On the right side of the pump, release the bolt (2) by one turn.
Close the hood. Now it is possible to push the mower.
ƒ
ATTENTION: Only push the riding mower along horizontal surfaces – when pushing the mower on
sloped surfaces there is a serious risk of uncontrolled downward travel!
The mower must not be operated (travel engaged) when the bypass bolt is loosened.
DEACTIVATION OF THE BYPASS
Open the hood.

Tighten the bypass bolt.
ƒ
Close the hood. Now it is possible to travel with the mower in the standard manner.
