5.7 CONTROLLING THE MOWING DECK
ENGAGING THE MOWING DECK
CONDITIONS FOR ENGAGING THE MOWING DECK
- the driver is sitting in the seat;
- the grass catcher is in position and closed;
- the AUT/MAN toggle switch is in the AUT position and the grass catcher is empty or the toggle switch is in
the MAN position.
ENGAGING THE MOWING DECK
Set the throttle lever to position MAX For the correct operation of the mowing deck, the lever must always

be in this position.
Push down the part of the switch with the symbol

indicator light will be lit on the information panel.
DISENGAGING THE MOWING DECK
Push down the part of the switch without the symbol. The mowing deck will be disengaged.
ƒ
If you leave the seat, the engine will automatically shut down and thereby the rotation of the mowing
blades will also stop.
However, do not disengage the mowing deck by simply leaving the seat. If you do not move the key in
the ignition from the position ON to position STOP, then a part of the electrical installation will still be
live and this may result in it being damaged.
SETTING THE HEIGHT OF THE MOWING DECK FOR MOWING
The mowing deck height adjustment control knob has 6 positions, which correspond to a total mowing height
of 8.5 cm. Each position moves the mowing deck 1.7 cm higher or lower. The position can be selected before
starting mowing and also while mowing. The mowing deck slides into the selected height only after the mowing
deck engagement switch
- If you wish to set the mowing deck higher off the ground, select a higher number on the control knob
- If you wish to set the mowing deck lower to the ground, select a lower number on the control knob
Position 1 is used to copy the unevenness of the terrain. Do not use this height permanently as this
could lead to increased wear of parts on the mowing deck.
The mowing deck is fitted with four travel wheels, which in the event of uneven terrain lift the mowing
deck and so protect the mowing blades against damage.
If the mowing deck does not move to the set position, the display will show the symbol
the lifting mechanism functions and is free of dirt. Eliminate any faults and repeat the task. This function
protects the drive against burning up.
The default range for the mowing deck from the ground is 4.5-13 cm. Depending on the required mowing results,
this height can be changed by adjusting the vertical lift draw bar:
Release the nut (2) on both vertical draw bars (1) and set the required mowing height (measure
ƒ
the height of the bottom edge of the mowing deck cover from the ground).
Turning the nut enables the height to be arbitrarily set from 2 cm to 4.5 cm in position 1. Based on
ƒ
the set bottom height, the top height will also change, which can be a maximum of 13 cm.
ATTENTION: The selected height must be the same on both sides of the mowing deck.
