FILLING THE FUEL TANK WITH FUEL
For safety reasons the riding mower is transported without fuel and before the first start up it is necessary to
fill it up. The fuel tank is located in the left mudguard.
The fuel type is indicated in the separate user's manual of the engine.
Use only the fuel specified in the user's manual of the engine. Defects caused by the use of incorrect
fuel are not covered by the warranty.
Only add fuel with the engine turned off and when the engine is cold. Fill up the fuel tank in a well
ventilated location. When handling fuel, do not eat, smoke or use an open flame.
For filling, use a funnel designed for refilling fuel.
Respect the maximum permitted fuel tank level, i.e. the fuel level is in the lower level of the filler. Never
fill up the fuel tank above this maximum level.
Ensure that fuel is not spilled when refilling. Spilled fuel can very easily catch on fire. If fuel does spill,
thoroughly wipe dry.
Always store the fuel out of the reach of children.
Never start up the mower without the fuel tank cap screwed on.
Open the fuel tank lid. Open it slowly because there may be overpressure in the fuel tank caused
ƒ
by petrol vapours.
Insert a funnel into the fuel tank opening and start to pour the fuel from the canister. The fuel level
ƒ
must under no condition be above the bottom level of the filler.
After filling up the fuel tank always wipe dry the area around the fuel tank opening as well as the
ƒ
fuel tank opening itself. It is good to check the condition of the fuel lines.
BLEEDING AIR FROM THE FUEL AFTER FILLING UP
MOWERS WITH A PETROL ENGINE
It is not necessary to bleed air from mowers with a petrol engine; they are equipped with an automatic supply pump.
MOWERS WITH A DIESEL ENGINE
After filling up the fuel tank, loosen the bolt (1) on the fuel pump, that is located on the right side
ƒ
of the engine (when viewing the mower from the front). Wait until air stops leaking out of the bolt.
Then tighten the bolt again.

CHECKING THE AIR PRESSURE IN THE TYRES

The tyres are tubeless and fitted with standard car tyre valves. They can be inflated using a compressor or
a standard hand pump.
Tyre pressure
2.4 TECHNICAL PARAMETERS.
Do not exceed the maximum pressure marked on the tyres that are being used.

CHECKING THE OIL LEVEL IN THE HYDRAULIC CIRCUIT

The mower is supplied with a hydraulic circuit equalisation tank filled with the prescribed amount of oil. The oil
level in the tank may decline during transport. The equalisation tank is located underneath the mudguard on
the right hand side of the mower. A part of the tank cap is an oil level dipstick.
Screw open the tank cap and check that the oil level is between the two marks on the dipstick. If
ƒ
not, fill up with the required amount of oil.
Oil type
After checking and filling up, always wipe dry the area around the tank cap and the tank cap itself.
