In the event that during operation you identify a fault on the fuel tank, fuel tank cap or on any part of the
ƒ
fuel supply (fuel lines), immediately turn off the combustion engine.
Only dump the grass catcher from the location of the driver's seat.
ƒ
In these cases, turn off the combustion engine and wait until the mowing blades come to a complete stop:
ƒ
– before adding fuel
– before removing the grass catcher
– before opening the engine hood
Cruise control is an aid serving to make riding easier. Responsibility for adjusting travel speed to existing
ƒ
conditions and timely braking is borne by the driver. Activating cruise control when travelling on wet terrain
or in unfavourable terrain conditions, as well as towing a load constitute an increased accident hazard.
When the cruise control function is deactivated, the mower may brake suddenly.
AFTER FINISHING WORK WITH THE MOWER
Always park the mower on a level surface. Before getting off the mower, ensure that it has come to a complete
ƒ
stop. Keep in mind that the mowing blades will continue rotating several seconds after the engine is turned
off before coming to a stop.
Always maintain the mower and its accessories clean and in good technical condition.
ƒ
Prior to performing any maintenance, always pull the key out of the ignition and allow the engine and its
ƒ
parts to cool down completely. Store the ignition key so that only authorised persons have access to it.
The rotating blades are sharp and may cause injuries. Whenever handing the blades always use protective
ƒ
gloves or wrap the blades.
Regularly check the nuts and bolts securing the blades so that they are tightened with the appropriate
ƒ
amount of torque. Tightening torque table
Pay special attention to lock nuts. After the nut is loosened a second time its locking capability is reduced
ƒ
and therefore it needs to be replaced with a new one.
Regularly inspect all components and if necessary replace those that need to be replaced based on the
ƒ
manufacturer's recommendations.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR WORK ON SLOPES
ƒ Slopes are the main cause of accidents, loss of control over the mower or subsequent roll-overs, which may
lead to serious injuries or death. Mowing on slopes always requires an increased level of attention. If you
are not sure, or it exceeds your ability, do not mow on slopes.
ƒ Riding mowers can be used on slopes with a maximum incline up to 12° (21%) and only in the direction
of the fall line, i.e. upwards or downwards. More information
TRAVELLING On SLOPES.
ƒ When changing direction increased care is needed. Do not turn on a slope unless it is absolutely necessary.
ƒ Watch out for holes, roots, uneven terrain. Uneven terrain may cause the mower to turn over. High grass
may conceal hidden obstacles. Therefore, remove all foreign objects from the area where you wish to mow
in advance.
ƒ Select such a speed so that you do not need to stop when on a hill.
ƒ Be very careful when attaching the grass catcher or making other connections. It may lead to a reduced
stability of the mower.
ƒ Perform all movements on a slope slowly and smoothly. Do not make sudden changes to speed or direction.
ƒ Avoid starting up or stopping on a slope. In the event that the wheels lose traction, turn off the power to the
blades and drive slowly down the hill.
ƒ Start driving very carefully and slowly when on a slope so that the mower does not "skip". Always reduce
the mower's driving speed before a slope, and especially when driving down a hill lower the driving speed
to minimum to take advantage of the braking effect of the gearbox.
