3.3 SAFETY ELEMENTS OF THE MOWER
This riding mower is equipped with safety elements that increase the safety of the driver during operation. The
main elements are the following:
(1) STEERING WHEEL BALL
Serves to improve handling of the steering wheel and thereby enables safer control of the mower
not only in varied terrain.
(2) SELF-LOCKING HOOD
The hood locks itself in the raised position after being opened and lifted up. It thereby protects
the driver against injuries by crimping or impact resulting from it falling.
(3) CONDITIONAL ENGINE START
The engine cannot be started unless certain precisely set conditions are met (specified later in
this user's manual). This element protects the driver of the mower against use by people lacking
knowledge and/or authorisation.
(4) CLOSED HOOD SENSOR
The sensor registers that the hood is opened and automatically shuts off the engine. It thus protects
the driver against dangerous movements of rotating parts.
(5) SEATBELT
Increases the safety of the driver during operation. The driver must always have it buckled.
(6) PROTECTIVE FRAME
Reduces the consequences of an accident in the case of the mower rolling over.
(7) GRASS CATCHER PRESENCE SWITCH
If the grass catcher is not in the correct work position or is missing entirely, it is not possible to
start the mowing deck.
(8) FULL GRASS CATCHER SWITCH
In the event that the grass catcher is filled to a certain level, the mowing deck is shut off automatically
or the driver is informed of the full grass catcher by means of an acoustic signal.
(9) UNDER THE SEAT SWITCH
When the engine is running and the travel of the mower is not braked using the parking brake
and the driver leaves the seat (dismounts), the engine will shut off.
(10) AUTOMATIC MOWING DECK DISENGAGEMENT WHEN REVERSING
When reversing, when the driver has an impaired view of the area being mowed, the mowing deck
is automatically disengaged. If the driver is certain that there is no danger, the mowing deck can
be re-engaged using the R switch to mow grass also while reversing.
(11) AUTOMATIC MOWING DECK POSITIONING
When the riding mower is turned off, the mowing deck automatically resets to the travel position.
(12) ANTI-SLIP FLOOR SURFACE
It ensures better stability not only while driving, but most importantly when getting on and getting
off the riding mower.
