1 Product description − espressoDAQ
Your decision to buy an amplifier of the espressoDAQ series has brought you
compact, USB-based measurement modules in the usual HBM quality.
A vast number of different measurement tasks can be resolved with this mea-
surement system. With pocket-sized amplifiers, you can very quickly and ea-
sily achieve your measurement result.
Connection to a PC
The modules are connected to a PC via a USB interface. If only one module is
operated via the USB interface, voltage can be supplied directly via the PC's
USB port. In this case, a separate power supply is not necessary.
You can operate up to 4 modules with an active USB HUB.
Three different types of module are available:
DQ401
 The DQ401 module has four individually configurable current or voltage in-
puts. All the inputs are electrically isolated individually, and from each other.
 Extreme accuracy is guaranteed, as all the channels have their own A/D
converter with 24-bit resolution. This also allows the acquisition of all the
channels to be totally synchronized.
 The data rate can be adjusted up to a maximum 40,000 measurements per
second.
DQ430
 The DQ430 module also has four channels and is provided for measuring
with strain gages (SG).
 The module is suitable for strain gages both in half bridge and full bridge
circuits.
DQ809
 Rounding off this series of USB amplifiers is the DQ809 module, to which
can be connected a total of eight thermocouples of all the common ty-
pes.
