Checking the Turbine Quick Coupling
Regularly check the condition of the
O-rings on the turbine quick coupling.
The O-rings are needed to separate the
air and water outlets.
The O-rings must always be in good con-
dition without any dirt or cuts.
! WARNING: Contraindications.
starjet may become clogged or fail to
work properly in the presence of broken,
worn, or dirty O-rings.
! WARNING: Use only original
accessories and spare parts supplied by
the manufacturer of the turbine.

Routine Decontamination of the Dental Unit Water
Circuit
To decontaminate the water circuit of the
dental unit to which starjet is connected after
long periods of non-use or at first use, use tro-
closene sodium dihydrate (≥ 1%) and sodium
chlorite (≥4%) tablets to treat the dental unit
water circuits. Dilute the tablet in tap water as
per the manufacturer's indications
b) Procedure validated using the product VistatabTM
Dental Waterline Cleaner Tablets by Hue-Friedy.
1.
Fill the dental unit water tank with a
volume of tap water sufficient to fill the
entire water circuit.

Dissolve the suitable number of
decontamination tablets in the
dental unit water tank (as per the

manufacturer's indications
3.
Start the water circuit of the dental unit
to which starjet is connected until it is
completely filled. The decontamination
solution must flow out from the
starjet device;

Leave the decontamination solution to
work inside starjet and the water circuit
to which it is connected;
5.
Rinse the water circuit of the dental unit
to which starjet is connected with at
least 500 ml of tap water.
WARNING: Prepare the decontamination
solution, carefully following the
manufacturer's instructions.
