Maintenance of the Core Unit
Following are the main operations to be carried out on the device core unit.
7.2.1
Routine Maintenance of the Core Unit
In addition to the cleaning and sterilisation described in
out at first use and at every subsequent use, the following operations should also be regularly
performed:

, empty and clean the powder
container each time the powder
is changed and before cleaning,
disinfection, and sterilisation.
7.2.2
Clogged Core Unit
If the device core unit is clogged, check and carry out the following procedures.
If the air passage of the starjet device is
clogged, use the supplied cleaning nee-
dle to free the channel of any powder
residue.
NOTE: The duct and powder chamber
must be properly dried with a clean
cloth and compressed air before reuse.
Remember that too much moisture or
liquid inside the powder chamber may
block the device.
7.3
Checking the Connector of the Polisher Nozzle
Regularly check the condition of the
O-rings on the nose cone coupling. The
o-rings are needed to separate the pow-
der and water outlets.
The o-rings must always be in good con-
dition without any powder residue or
cuts.
! WARNING: Contraindications.
The nose cone may become clogged in
the presence of O-rings that are broken
or worn, or with powder residue.
! WARNING: Use only original
MECTRON accessories and spare
parts.
In case of worn or broken O-rings, use
only the kit supplied by Mectron.

of the connector of the nozzle on the
