Getting started
Good alignment is achieved when the transmitted laser line
and the corresponding reflected laser line harmonizes with the
reference lines on the reflector and laser transmitter respectively.
Correcting misalignment (using laser and targets)
1. Correct angularity by shimming moveable machine using
PERMABLOC
or LAMIBLOC
®
Correction of this angular misalignment can be observed on the
surface of the targets.
2. Correct offset by adjusting the moveable machine axially. This
correction can be observed on the surface of the targets.
In this case, good alignment is achieved when the laser line strikes
the full center marking on all three targets.

Notice
The adjustable targets ALI 2.303 are used to compensate
for differences in sheave thicknesses. Turning the marked
target area one full turn moves the target center by 1/24"
(1.06 mm). Compensation for a maximum thickness of 1/2"
(12.7 mm) is possible. This thickness corresponds to the four
partial markings on the target.
