3 General application instructions
The force transducers are suitable for measuring tensile and compressive
forces. They provide highly accurate static and dynamic force measurements
and must therefore be handled very carefully. Particular care must be taken
during transportation and installation. Dropping and knocking the transducer
may cause permanent damage.
The U9C series force transducers have two external threads into which the
forces to be measured must be applied.
The Specifications section 9 on page 32 lists the permissible limits for
mechanical, thermal and electrical loading. It is essential to observe these
limits when planning the measuring set-up, during installation and, ultimately,
during operation.
