Connection for cooling water

Connect the cooling-water inlet stub (1) on the left of
the rear lower test bench frame (under the control cabi-
net) to the water mains. A pressure reducing valve with
pressure gauge set to 250 kPa, a protective filter and a
shut-off valve must be installed in this line.
The cooling-water return (2) on the right of the rear low-
er test bench frame (under the control cabinet) must run
into the waste-water line without a shut-off option.

Inspection of the pumps VP 29 / 30 and 44 is condi-
tional on the coolant feed temperature not exceeding
17 degrees Celsius. If the coolant feed temperature
exceeds 17 degrees Celsius, then the pumps may not
be inspected. In such an instance a cooling device
must be fitted by the customer.

The cooling-water supply valve must be closed when
the test bench is not in use.
!
The customer must install an oil separator in the
coolingwater drain.

Filling up with calibration fluid

Remove the side panel and cover (2). Pour approx. 50
litres of calibration fluid pursuant to ISO 4113 into the
calibration-fluid tank (1).

Adding lubricating oil

Remove the side panel and cover from the lubricating
oil tank. Pour approx. 12 liters of lubricating oil
(e.g. commercially available engine oil e.g. SAE 20) into
the lubricating oil tank through the opening.

Checking the direction of rotation

The direction of rotation of the calibration-fluid and
lubricating-oil drive motors must correspond with the
direction-of-rotation arrows on the calibration-fluid
tandem delivery pump and the lubricating-oil delivery
pump respectively.

Do NOT operate the calibration-fluid tandem delivery
pump or lubricating-oil delivery pump without cali-
bration fluid or lubricating oil respectively, otherwise
the pumps will be damaged.
Check the direction of rotation by briefly switching on
the drive motors.
