The freezer compartment
(can be set from -16 °C to -21 °C)

The temperature in the freezer
compartment is set to -18 º C in the
factory. At this temperature you achieve
and optimum balance between energy
consumption and storage time.
If you still wish to change the set
temperature then proceed as follows:
Press the button
until the sign on the display flashes
(Fig. 2/19). Within 5 seconds set the
temperature with the
buttons. The current temperature in
the freezer compartment is shown on
the display (Fig. 2/19).

q To store deep frozen food
q To freeze fresh food
The fully automatic No Frost system
prevents the freezer compartment
from icing over. Defrosting is no
longer required.

Storing deep frozen food

When purchasing deep frozen food:
q Ensure that the packaging is not
damaged. If the packaging is
damaged, the food will be very dry!
q Check the sell by date.
q The temperature in the supermarket
freezer must be colder than 18 °C.
If not, the durability of the
deep frozen food is reduced.
q Purchase deep frozen food last,
wrap in newspaper or place in a cold
bag and take home.
q As soon as you arrive home, place
the deep frozen food in the freezer
compartment. Use the deep frozen
food before the sell by date runs out.
q Do NOT refreeze thawed food which
is above 3 °C.
If you prepare (cook or fry) ready to
serve meals, these can be refrozen.
