6.3 EXTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE (ADDRESSED TO QUALIFIED PERSONNEL)
These operations shall be carried out by qualified and authorized personnel only.
FRIGOMAT S.r.l. declines any liability for damages to things or persons deriving from the
non-observance of the above-mentioned prescription.

6.2.1 ELECTRIC INSTALLATION

6.2.1.1 CONSISTENCY SET ADJUSTMENT ON "CT" CARD

This operation must be carried out in case the current transformer or the beater motor is
replaced or in case it is necessary to adjust the ice-cream hardness; it is however
advisable not to modify the standard calibration.
To adjust the consistency set proceed as follows:
1. Make sure that the master switch is off and/or the multipolar plug is disconnected.
2. Remove the right side panel (KIKKA 1) or the back panel (KIKKA 3 - 330) and the
electrical box cover.
3. Locate the CT card showed in the picture (Current transformer).
4. Connect an accurate and capable ammeter clamp (see motor nameplate) to the current
transformer power cable (inlet). This way it is possible to measure the beater motor
electrical input.
5. Locate the CONSISTENCY TRIM SET on the CT card.
6. Load the machine with the max. allowable mixture. Turn on the master switch and/or
connect the multipolar plug.
7. Press the PRODUCTION pushbutton. Wait for a few minutes, then read the
beatermotor electrical input on the ammeter clamp. When the electrical input value is
near the standard calibration value reported on the test sheet enclosed to the machine
(consistency value expressed in ampere), adjust the TRIM so that the cycle stops at
the desired electrical input value. Clockwise turn the TRIM to REDUCE the ice-cream
consistency value; counter-clockwise turn it to INCREASE it.
