Checking the engine oil level

1. Park the machine on level ground,
switch it off and leave to cool for
around 5 minutes.
2. Open the engine hood. See
"Opening the engine hood".
3. Pull out the dipstick (1) and clean
with a lint-free, clean cloth.
4. Reinsert the dipstick (1) and pull it
out again.
The oil level must be between
marks (2) and (3).
If the engine oil needs to be
topped up:
5. Unscrew the cap (4) and top up
with engine oil through the filler
pipe.
6. Once the oil has been topped up,
wait for at least 5 minutes. Now
check the oil level again.
