Installing the lock release cable
CAUTION
Incorrect installation of the lock release cable
Risk of falling due to malfunction of the lock
Observe the following instructions for installing the lock release cable.
After installation, check whether the lock release cable has been installed in accordance
with all instructions.
Verify the safe functioning of the lock release cable and the lock (unlocking/locking).

► INFORMATION: Keep the screws you have removed (see Fig.
needs to be permanently deactivated later on.
In order for the lock pin to function reliably, install the lock release cable in the area
marked for a safe pulling direction.
► To avoid malfunctions, set the length of the lock release cable so that it is not under tension
when the lock slide is in the rest position. Reliable unlocking when operating the lock slide is
essential.
→ Operating the lock slide: see Fig.
→ Rest position of the lock slide: see Fig.
Do not break out the nose in the lock slide because the locking position of the lock slide is
not allowed to be used.
Check the reference dimension to ensure reliable unlocking (marking on the locking pin)
according to the illustration.
INFORMATION: The reference dimension must be maintained so that the locking pin can be
pulled out far enough to reliably lock the prosthetic knee joint.
► If the dimension is too small, shorten the lock release cable until the reference dimension is
met when operating the lock slide.
6.3 Optimising the static alignment
► To optimise the static alignment, position the patient on the measuring device (see Fig.
page 7).
► In the sagittal plane, check the course of the load line relative to the marked alignment refer
ence point and correct this if needed (see Fig.
► In the frontal plane, check the course of the load line relative to the marked points (prosthetic
foot, prosthetic knee joint, Spina iliaca anterior superior) and correct if needed (see Fig.
on page 8).
6.4 Optimising during dynamic trial fitting
CAUTION
Adjusting the Settings
Fall due to incorrect or unfamiliar settings
Only adapt the settings to the patient gradually.
Explain the effects of the adjustments on the use of the prosthesis to the patient.
