Maintenance and care
The following section contains some instructions regarding the maintenance of
the SIMPLY LIGHT seat unit wheelchair For repairs and maintenance, or if you
have any questions regarding SIMPLY LIGHT, please contact your local supplier
7.1
Checking the tyre pressure
SIMPLY LIGHT features pneumatic tyres as standard In order to keep rolling
resistance to an absolute minimum, you should check the tyre pressure at regu-
lar intervals The tyres are standardly equipped with automobile valves, so you
can check the pressure by using the tyre gauge at your local petrol station
The required filling pressure is printed on the tyres and is also specified in the
"technical data" section of these instructions
To check the tyre pressure, please proceed as follows:
Apply the parking brake (see section 681)
Unscrew the valve cap from the valve by turning it anti-clockwise
Press the tyre gauge nozzle firmly onto the valve
Correct the tyre pressure to the specified value
Remove the tyre gauge nozzle from the valve
Screw the valve cap onto the thread of the valve (clockwise)
Repeat the operation until you have checked all tyres
If necessary, release the parking brake (see section 682)
