F olding mechanism for transporting SIMPLY LIGHT
SIMPLY LIGHT is equipped with a folding mechanism to make transportation
easier The back unit including the handle is folded forwards and the rear wheels
can also be removed Thereby, extremely small overall transportation dimensions
are achieved If the dimensions have to be further reduced for transportation,
removable swivel front wheels are available as a special accessory
6.6.1 Folding SIMPLY LIGHT
When folding SIMPLY LIGHT for transportation, proceed as follows:
Remove the seat unit (see section 61)
Loosen the height adjustment of the handle (see section 652)
Loosen the screw connections for the handle angle adjustment on the left
and right sides of the handle (see section 651)
Loosen the catch for the handle folding mechanism by pressing down the
central release bar connecting the two locking plates on the lower ends of
the two handle upright tubes with your foot while simultaneously swinging
the handle forwards
The back unit including the handle can now be folded forwards until it rests
against the SIMPLY LIGHT frame
Next, remove the rear wheels In order to do this, lift the SIMPLY LIGHT
frame slightly so that the respective rear wheel is raised off the ground
Take hold of the rear wheel spokes and press the button located at the
centre of the wheel axle with your thumb
Hold the button pressed and remove the wheel from the axle mounting
The wheel brake must be released during this operation
Repeat the operation for the second rear wheel
If necessary, fold up the anti-tip wheels as described in section 67
