    Untergestell ergibt sich die Möglichkeit, dass die AKTIVLINE Standard den z. B. bei Spastikern auftretenden unkontrollierten Muskelanspannungen ausweicht, indem sich der Schalenkorpus nach oben öffnet. Hierdurch können die auftre- tenden Belastungen des Patienten, weitestgehend verringert werden. Im Zu- sammenhang mit diesem neuen Versorgungskonzept konnten weitere positive Einflüsse auf den Patienten beobachtet werden. Weiterhin werden Sie feststellen, dass sich die AKTIVLINE Standard als wesentlich robuster als die üblichen star- ren Versorgungen erweist. Aufgrund der im System eingebauten Dynamik kann also auch das Material geschont werden. AKTIVLINE Standard ist ein standar- disiertes Versorgungssystem mit allen bewährten dynamischen Komponenten. Es ist in 6 Größen verfügbar und wächst mit dem Patienten mit, gleichzeitig kann es individuell an die Bedürfnisse des Patienten angepasst werden. Sitzbreite und Sitztiefe sind jeweils in 5 cm Einstellbereichen konzipiert, so dass eine einfache und schnelle Anpassung an die Patientenmaße möglich ist. Die vorliegende Bedienungsanleitung beinhaltet zahlreiche Tipps und Hinweise, wie Sie die AKTIVLINE Standard einfach und sicher benutzen können. Sollten Sie Anregungen oder Fragen bzgl. der AKTIVLINE Standard haben, würden wir uns freuen von Ihnen zu hören. Lieferumfang Sie erhalten die AKTIVLINE Standard werkseitig fertig montiert (in der Regel über Ihren Fachhändler) geliefert. Damit die AKTIVLINE Standard ein zuverlässiger Partner für Sie ist, sollten Sie die folgenden Punkte beachten. 2.1 Adaptersystem Die Sitzschale ist auf dem Untergestell, welches dem Sitzschalen u ntergestell SIMPLY oder SIMPLY LIGHT der interco GmbH ähnlich ist, mittels einem Adaptersystem befestigt.     welches an der Schalenunterseite montiert ist, und der Trapezadap- teraufnahme (Bild 2), die fest mit dem Untergestell verbunden ist. Der Adapter wird durch zwei Zug- schnäpper (Bild 2), die von unten in die Adapteraufnahme einrasten, sicher arretiert. Achten Sie stets Trapezadapter darauf, dass beide Zugschnäpper am Adaptersystem fest arretiert sind. Trapezadapter- aufnahme Sollten Sie feststellen, dass sich die Zugschnäpper gelöst haben, sind diese mit geeignetem Werk- zeug nachzuziehen, bis der sichere Sitz der Schale auf dem Unterge- stell gewährleistet ist. Zugschnäpper 2.2 Rückhaltesystem Die AKTIVLINE Standard wird mit einer Beckenfixierung (Bild 3) aus- gerüstet, die für die richtige Funk- tion der Versorgung von entschei- dender Bedeutung ist. Nur wenn die Beckenfixierung richtig einge- stellt ist, hat der Patient die Mög- lichkeit, die AKTIVLINE Standard richtig zu bewegen und somit die gewünschten Effekte zu erzielen. Die Beckenfixierung ist auf der rechten Seite (aus Patientensicht) in der Regel fest mit der Schale verschraubt. Auf der linken Seite befindet sich eine Schnalle, die es ermöglicht, den gewünschten bzw. den tolerierten Druck auf das Becken auszuüben. Beim Anlegen der Beckenfixierung achten Sie bitte auf Folgendes: Der Patient muss zum Anlegen der Beckenfixierung so tief wie möglich in der Schale sitzen, d. h. dass das Becken Kontakt zum Rücken der Sitzschale haben...

    der Sitzkantelung (siehe Kap. Sitzkantelung) des Untergestells soweit zu neigen, dass der Patient bequem in die gewünschte Position gleitet. Bei Verwendung eines Beckenbügels achten Sie bitte auf Folgendes: Die Druckpolster des Beckenbügels müssen auf den Spinen (den beiden oberen, vorderen Darmbeinstacheln) aufliegen. Achten Sie darauf, dass die Druckpolster des Beckenbügels nicht auf den Bauch oder andere Weichteilregionen drücken! Führen Sie den Befestigungsgurt durch die Schnalle am Beckbügel und ziehen ihn so fest an, dass der Patient gut in der vorgeschriebenen Sitzposition (Becken liegt am Schalenrücken an) verbleibt. Sollte dies zum Unwohlsein des Patienten führen, können Sie den Beckenbügel etwas lockern. Bedenken Sie jedoch, dass sich die Schale nur dann gut öffnen kann, wenn das Becken immer in Kontakt mit der Beckenfixierung ist. Eventuell muss die Toleranz gegenüber der gewählten Fixierungsmöglichkeit etwas geübt werden, indem man anfangs auf stärkeren Druck verzichtet, den Druck aber dann im Laufe der Zeit steigert, bis der Gurt korrekt anliegt. 2.3 Brustschulterpelotte Die Brustschulterpelotte dient der Fixierung des gesamten Oberkörpers der betreffenden Person. Die Fixierung durch die Brustschulterpelotte wird in den folgenden 2 Abschnitten beschrieben. Achtung: Die Einstellung erfolgt bei der Brustschulterpelotte grundsätzlich vom harten Schalenrücken aus durch die sich dort befindlichen 4 Gurtspanner. Fixierung der jeweiligen Person in der Sitzschale Voraussetzung: Die Person sitzt bereits in der Sitzschale, die Brustschulterpe- lotte ist nach hinten über den Schalenrand gelegt. Zur Fixierung gehen Sie wie folgt vor: Legen Sie die Brustschulterpelotte nach vorne. Der Kopf befindet sich dann  zwischen den beiden Schultergurtbändern. Am unteren Ende der Brustschulterpelotte befinden sich zwei Gurtspanner  zur Befestigung der Haltegurte. Öffnen Sie die Klappe eines der schwarzen Gurtspanner.  In den Schlitz zwischen beweglicher Klappe und feststehendem Teil schie-  ben Sie nun das Gurtband auf der entsprechenden Seite das zwischen dem Sitzpolster und Rückenpolster herausragt. Ziehen Sie das Gurtband bis zum Anschlag ein.  Halten Sie das Gurtband in dieser Stellung fest.

    Klappen Sie jetzt die Klappe des Gurtspanners zurück, so dass er im fest-  stehenden Teil zu liegen kommt. Das Gurtband ist nun fixiert.  Möchten Sie das Schloss öffnen, ziehen Sie die Klappe des Gurtspanners  nach oben und ziehen das Gurtband heraus. Wiederholen Sie den Vorgang auf der anderen Seite.  Zum Lösen der Fixation durch die Brustschulterpelotte gehen Sie in umge-  kehrter Reihenfolge vor. Einstellung der Brustschulterpelotte Voraussetzung: Die Person sitzt bereits in der Sitzschale, die Brustschulterpe- lotte ist angelegt. Achtung: Die Einstellung erfolgt bei der Brustschulterpelotte grundsätzlich vom harten Schalenrücken aus durch die sich dort befindlichen 4 Gurtspanner. Zum Einstellen der Brustschulterpelotte gehen Sie wie folgt vor: Stellen Sie zunächst die unteren Enden der Brustschulterpelotte ein.  Öffnen Sie die unteren Gurtspanner an harten Schalenrücken. Hierzu zie-  hen Sie einfach kräftig am freien Ende des Gurtbandes, der Spanner öffnet sich automatisch. Ziehen Sie das Gurtband einer Seite in die gewünschte Stellung.  Halten Sie das Gurtband in dieser Stellung fest.  Klappen Sie jetzt die Klappe des Gurtspanners zurück, so dass er im fest-  stehenden Gurtspannerteil zu liegen kommt. Wiederholen Sie die Einstellung auf der anderen Seite.  Wiederholen Sie den Vorgang für die oberen Enden der Brustschulterpelotte.  Diese stellen Sie über die oberen Gurtspanner am harten Schalenrücken  ein.     Zur Fixierung in der Sitzschale gehen Sie beim Anlegen des Gurtes in um-  gekehrter Reihenfolge vor. Achten Sie darauf, dass nach Anlegen des Gurtes nichts „eingeschnürt“  wird, insbesondere darauf, dass die Atmung nicht behindert wird. 2.5 Brustgurt mit Umlenkrolle Der Brustgurt mit Umlenkrolle wurde bei der Anpassung der Sitzschale in der richtigen Position montiert. Kleine Anpassungen in der Länge sind über die Flausch-Klett-Verbindung möglich. Zum Öffnen des Gurtes gehen Sie wie folgt vor: Ziehen Sie die sich überlappenden Enden des Brustgurtes auseinander.  Ziehen Sie das nun lose Ende des Brustgurtes durch die Metallschlaufe  heraus. Sie können nun die beiden Enden des Brustgurtes zur Seite legen und ggf.  die betreffende Person aus der Sitzschale nehmen. Zur Fixierung in der Sitzschale gehen Sie beim Anlegen des Gurtes in um-  gekehrter Reihenfolge vor. 2.6 Kopfstützemsysteme ALULINE Nachdem der Patient richtig mit dem Beckenbügel in der Schale fixiert sitzt, stellen Sie die Kopf- stütze ein. Die Halterung für die Kopfstütze ist bei der AKTIVLINE Standard in den Rücken der Schale integriert.

    Verschieben Sie das Kopfstüt-  zenhalterohr im Unihalter, bis die gewünschte Position erreicht ist. Fixieren Sie die Position durch  Drehen des Klemmhebels im Uhrzeigersinn, bis das Kopf- stützenhalterohr sich nicht mehr verschieben lässt. 2.7 A nbringen und Abnahme Rücken- und Seitenpolster Die Rücken- und Seiten-  polster werden mit Hilfe eines Klett-Flausch-Verschlusses auf der Innenseite der Sitz- schale angebracht. Die zusätzlichen Rücken- und Seitenpolster werden eben- falls mit Hilfe eines Klett-Ver- schlusses an der Innenseite des Sitzpolsters angebracht. Bringen Sie die Polster hierzu in die richtige Position und drücken Sie sie an, so dass der Klett-Verschluss fest sitzt (Bilder 6 - 8).     schluss und ziehen Sie den Bezug einfach ab (Bild 9). Zur Abnahme der zusätzlichen  Seiten- und Rückenpolster öffnen Sie den Reißverschluss und ziehen Sie die Polster ab (Bild 10). Zum Anbringen des Bezuges  gehen Sie in umgekehrter Reihenfolge vor. 2.9 A bnehmen des Bezugs vom Sitzpolster Um den Bezug des montierten Sitzpolsters abzunehmen gehen Sie wie folgt vor: Nehmen Sie die Rücken-/Sitz-  einheit vom Untergestell. Entfernen Sie zuerst die  klettbaren Rücken- und Sei- tenpolster wie in Kapitel 2.7 beschrieben. Lösen Sie jeweils die vier  Schrauben auf der Unterseite mit einem Sechskantschrau- bendreher, um die Seiten- polster zu demontieren (Bild 11). Öffnen Sie die Reißver- ...

    polster (siehe Kap. 2.7) um 5 cm vergrößert werden. Die Sitztiefe kann ebenfalls um insgesamt 7 cm vergrößert werden. Nutzen Sie dazu einerseits die vier Langlöcher auf der Unterseite des  Sitzes (Bild 11). Dadurch erhalten Sie einen Sitztiefengewinn von bis zu 3 cm. Durch Versetzen der physiologischen Drehpunkte und der Rückenauf- hängung auf die hintere Bohrung erhalten Sie 2 cm zusätzliche Sitztiefe. Durch Herausnahme der zusätzlichen Rückenpolster (siehe Kap. 2.7) er-  halten Sie weitere 2 cm Sitztiefe. 2.11 Dynamisches Sitzen Der gesamte Bewegungsablauf der Schale wird über physiologische Drehpunkte in der Hüfte und den Knien gesteuert. Sitz- und Rückeneinheit sind über Gleit- schienen gelagert und ermöglichen die Öffnung des Hüftwinkels nach den Bewe- gungsabläufen des Patienten. Kniewinkel- und Fußbretteinheit lassen gleichzeitig die dynamische Streckungstendenz des Patienten zu. Ein Rückstellfedersystem sowohl im Sitz als auch im Beinsystem bringen den Patienten automatisch in die physiologische Ausgangsposition zurück. 2.11.1 F eststellung der Becken- und Fußbankmechanik Aktivieren Sie die Beckenmechanik (Beweglichkeit im Hüftbereich), in- dem Sie die Zugschnäpper, die sich an der Rückseite der AKTIVLINE Standard unterhalb der Sitzschale befinden (Bild 12), aus der Nut he- rausziehen und um 90° drehen. Manchmal, z. B. beim Essen, ist es aber wünschenswert, eine passive Haltung des Patienten zu gewähr- leisten.     zeigersinn drehen, bis die Fußbank beweglich ist. Achten Sie darauf, den Klemm- hebel nicht weiter als dafür notwendig zu drehen, da ansonsten die Gefahr besteht, dass er aus seinem Gewinde springt. Um die Fußmechanik zu deaktivieren, drehen Sie den Klemmhebel im Uhrzeigersinn, bis die Fußbank wieder fest arretiert ist. Achtung: Kontrollieren Sie im Falle einer Störung der Beweglichkeit der Sitz- schale immer zuerst die Beckenmechanik und erst dann die Fußmechanik! 2.11.2 Kniepelotte (optional) Die Kniepelotte (Bild 14) ist neben der Beckenfixierung bzgl. der An- passung ein wichtiger Bestand- teil für die korrekte Funktion der AKTIV L INE Standard. Mit Hilfe der Kniepelotte hat der Patient die Mög- lichkeit, die Dynamik des Fußbank- systems einzusetzen. Unterstützt wird die Dynamik des Fußbanksys- tems durch die Verwendung der Fußriemen, die im nächsten Unterabschnitt behandelt werden. Bei der Einstellung der Knie p elotte sind folgende Punkte zu beachten: 1. D ie Kniepelotte sollte so angebracht sein, dass sie knapp unterhalb der Knie- scheibe an der Patellasehne anliegt. Da sich die Kniescheibe beim Beugen und Strecken des Beines auf und ab bewegt, müssen Sie darauf achten, dass die Kniescheibe durch die Kniepelotte in ihrer Bewegung nicht eingeschränkt wird. 2. D ie Kniepelotte sollte gut an der Patellasehne anliegen, jedoch keinen Druck auf diese ausüben.

Befe- stigen Sie die Armlehne, indem Sie den Feststellhebel an der Armleh- nenaufnahme rechts und links an den Seiten der Sitzschale lösen, die Armlehnen einführen und den Feststellhebel wieder anziehen. Zur Einstellung der Höhe verändern Sie die Einstecktiefe im Ovalrohr- Unihalter (Bild 15). Zur Winkeleinstellung der Arm- lehne gehen Sie wie folgt vor: Öffnen Sie die Klemmung auf  einer Seiten des Armaufla- genträgers durch Drehen der Klemmhebel entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn (Bild 16). Die Armauflage ist nun in  ihrer Winkelstellung zur Sitz- schale beweglich. Halten Sie die Armauflage in der gewünschten Stellung mit einer Hand fest  und drehen Sie mit der anderen Hand den Klemmhebel im Uhrzeigersinn wieder zu. Die Stellung der Armauflage bleibt nun erhalten.  Wiederholen Sie den Vorgang auf der anderen Seite.  2.13 Fußbanksystem Das Fußbanksystem der AKTIVLINE Standard muss an die Unterschenkellänge des Patienten angepasst werden. Hierbei ist darauf zu achten, dass die Füße des Patienten bequem auf dem Fußbrett stehen. Zur Einstellung des Fußbanksystems auf die Unterschenkellänge des Patienten, ist die Schraube am Klemmblock des Fußbrettes zu lösen und das Fußbrett auf dem Mittelrohr des Fußbanksystems...

    2.14 Zubehör (Sitzschale) Bereits in ihrer Grundausstattung ist die AKTIVLINE Standard so komplett ausge- rüstet, dass im Normalfall kein weiteres Zubehör notwendig ist. Dennoch kann es im Einzelfall wünschenswert oder notwendig sein, den Lieferumfang dahingehend zu erweitern, dass den Bedürfnissen des Patienten entsprochen wird. In der Folge haben wir einige der am häufigsten gewünschten Zubehörteile aufgelistet, um Ihnen einen Überblick und eine Entscheidungshilfe bei der Auswahl möglicher Zubehör- teile zu geben: 11.     sen, dass unbedingt auf die sichere Verbindung zwischen Sitzschalen- system und dem Untergestell zu achten ist. Hinweis: Der Trapezadapterauf- nahme ist mit zwei Zugschnäppern ausgerüstet. Es ist stets darauf zu achten, dass beide Zugschnäpper sicher einrasten. Vor den Aufsetzen der Schale auf das Untergestell wer- den beide Zugschnäpper so eingestellt, dass beide Arretierungssplinte in das Innere der Adapterplatte hineinragen. Wird der Adapter, der unter der Sitzschale montiert ist, jetzt in die Adapterplatte eingeschoben, rasten die Zugschnäpper mit einem deutlichen Klickgeräusch in die Bohrungen am Adapter ein. Zur Sicherheit sollten Sie den festen Sitz des Schalensystems prüfen, indem Sie an der Schale rütteln und überprüfen, ob sich die Zugschnapper hierbei öffnen. Sollte dieses der Fall sein, muss die Einstellung des Adaptersystems überprüft werden. Diese Arbeit sollten Sie unbedingt durch einen Fachhändler oder den Hersteller ausführen lassen. Zum Abnehmen der Sitzschale ziehen sie auf beiden Seiten die Zugschnapper nach außen und drehen sie um jeweils 90°. Hierdurch werden die Zugschnapper in der Position „offen“ arretiert. Entfernen Sie nun den Sicherungssplint, der die Rückeneinheit der Sitzschale mit dem Untergestell verbindet. Sie können das Sitzschalensystem jetzt nach vorne aus dem Adapter ziehen. Denken Sie unbe- dingt daran, die Zugschnapper vor dem erneuten Einsetzen der Schale durch Drehung um weitere 90° wieder in die Position „schließen“ zu versetzen. Achten Sie darauf, dass der Sicherungssplint zur Verbindung der Rückeneinheit mit dem Untergestell wieder eingesetzt wird und auch richtig einrastet. 3.2 Sitzkantelung Das AKTIVLINE Standard Untergestell ist mit einem Mechanismus ausgestattet, der es erlaubt, die Neigung der Sitzschale in einem bestimmten Bereich individu- ell einzustellen. Je nach Ausstattung ist hierbei eine stufenlose Verstellung von bis zu 30° Sitzneigung möglich. Wollen Sie die Sitzneigung rückgängig machen, werden Sie hierbei durch zwei Gasdruckfedern unterstützt. Für die Benutzung der Sitzkantelung sind folgende Punkte zu beachten: 1. Z iehen Sie die zwei kleinen Auslösehebel (Bild 18), die am Schiebegriff mon- tiert sind.     sinken und lassen Sie die Aus- lösehebel los (Bild 19). Das Sitzschalensystem ist jetzt in der gewählten Neigung arre- tiert. Sollte die Schale nicht von alleine in die gewünschte Nei- gung sinken, können Sie durch leichten Druck auf den Schie- begriff nachhelfen. Zur Arre- tierung ist darauf zu achten, dass die Auslösehebel wieder vollständig in die Grundposition zurückkehrt. 2. D urch erneute Betätigung der Auslösehebel können Sie die Arretierung der Sitzkantelung wieder lösen. Das Schalensy- stem kann jetzt wieder in die aufrechte Position gebracht werden, wobei Sie von den zwei Gasdruckfedern unterstützt werden. 3.3 Schiebegriff Der Schiebegriff des AKTIVLINE Standard Untergestells bietet Ih-...

    Vergessen Sie nicht beim Fest- ziehen der Klemmhebel darauf zu achten, dass die Raster im Rastergelenk gut ineinander greifen, damit eine feste Ver- bindung entsteht. Andernfalls ist es möglich, dass das Ra- stergelenk durchrutscht, was zu einem unnötigen Verschleiß führt. 3.4 Kippschutzräder Um die Kippstabilität der AKTIV- LINE Standard zu gewährleisten, ist das Untergestell der AKTIVLINE Standard mit zwei Kippschutzräder ausgestattet. Nur so ist ein effektiver Kippschutz gewährleistet. 3.5 Betätigung der Feststellbremse Zur Betätigung der Feststellbremsen gehen Sie wie folgt vor: 1. Z iehen Sie die beiden Bremsgriffe am Schiebegriff. Achten Sie darauf, dass der Bremsgriff nicht wieder in die Ausgangsstellung zurückkehrt (Arretierung rastet hörbar ein); nur dann ist die Feststellbremse aktiviert. 2. K ontrollieren Sie die Bremswirkung, indem Sie versuchen die AKTIVLINE Standard zu schieben. Achtung: Reicht die Bremswirkung nicht aus, so lassen Sie die Bremse durch die Werkstatt Ihres Sanitätshauses nachstellen oder stellen Sie die Bremse selbst nach, wie im Kapitel 3.5.2 beschrieben! Sie können die Feststellbremse auch nutzen, um sich das Bremsen bei Berg- fahrten zu erleichtern. Ziehen Sie in diesem Fall die Feststellbremse je nach Bedarf nur bis in die erste oder zweite Rasterstellung. 3.5.1 Lösen der Feststellbremse Zum Lösen der Feststellbremse gehen Sie wie folgt vor: 1. E ntriegeln Sie die Arretierung durch Betätigung der Rasterhebel und lassen Sie die Bremshebel in die Ausgangstellung zurück gleiten. Ggf. müssen Sie die Rasterhebel durch leichten Zug am Bremshebel entlasten, bevor die Bremse gelöst werden kann. 3.5.2 Nachstellen der Feststellbremse Werkzeug: Maulschlüssel/Schlüsselweite 8 Voraussetzung: Zu geringe Bremsleistung der Feststellbremse; AKTIVLINE Standard lässt sich trotz vollständig gezogener Feststellbremse schieben.

    2. D ie Bowdenzüge der Feststellbremsen werden vor den Bremsankerplatten durch eine Einstellschraube geführt, mittels der sich die Bremswirkung ein- stellen lässt. 3. D urch Drehen dieser Schraube entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn wird das Bremsseil stärker gespannt und damit die Bremse vorgespannt. Die Ein- stellschraube wird durch eine Mutter gesichert. 4. L ösen Sie die Sicherungsmutter vor dem Einstellen der Bremse durch Links- drehen (je nach Ausführung ist hier die Verwendung eines Maulschlüssels der Schlüsselweite 6 erforderlich). 5. D rehen Sie nun die Einstellschraube so lange entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn, bis sich das Rad merklich schwerer drehen lässt. Dazu heben Sie die AKTIV- LINE Standard einseitig an und drehen mit der freien Hand das betroffene Rad. 6. N un drehen Sie die Einstellschraube so lange im Uhrzeigersinn, bis das ein- zustellende Rad gerade wieder frei läuft. 7. D rehen Sie die Kontermutter die sich auf dem Gewinde der Einstellschraube befindet, bis zum Anschlag im Uhrzeigersinn.

    3.7 Klappmechanismus Untergestell (optional) Wenn Sie sich für eine AKTIVLINE Standard mit abnehmbarer Sitzeinheit ent- schieden haben, können Sie das Untergestell der AKTIVLINE Standard für den besseren Transport über einen Faltmechanismus auf ein sehr kleines Maß zu- sammenklappen. Hierzu gehen Sie wie folgt vor: Nehmen Sie das Sitzschalensystem vom Untergestell ab. Zusätzlich zum Lösen der Schale von der Adapter- platte müssen Sie hierzu auch den Sicherungssplint, der die Rückenein- heit der Sitzschale mit dem Unterge- stell verbindet, entfernen (Bild 24). 1. D ie unteren Enden der Rücken- rohre sind durch eine Stange verbunden, die über zwei Fe- derbleche den Auslöser für den Klappmechanismus bildet (Bild 25). Betätigen Sie diese Stange, indem Sie sie mit dem Fuß leicht nach unten drücken und klappen Sie die Rückenein- heit des AKTIVLINE Standard Untergestells nach unten. 2. Ermitteln Sie zusammen mit Ihrem Sanitätsfachhändler oder Ihrem Therapeuten die Richtigen Einstel- lungen des Rollstuhls. Alle Einstellungen dürfen nur vom Sanitätsfachhändler oder vom Hersteller vorgenommen werden!!! Einstellung von Sitzhöhe und Sitzneigung Je höher Sie Ihr Antriebsrad am Rahmenteil befestigen, umso stärker neigt sich der Sitz nach hinten. Das hat zwei Auswirkungen: zum Einen kippt der Rollstuhl leichter nach hinten, zum Anderen sitzt man tiefer und damit fester im Rollstuhl.

D rücken Sie auf den Auslöseknopf der Steckachse (stirnseitig auf der Steck- achse) und ziehen Sie diese heraus. 5. S chrauben Sie die Sicherungsschraube der Trommelbremse ab. 6. Ä ndern Sie die Achshöhe auf die von Ihnen gewünschte Einstellung und schrauben Sie die Sicherungsschraube wieder fest. 7. S etzen Sie nun das Rad und die Steckachse wieder ein. 8. K ontrollieren Sie, ob alle Schrauben wieder ordnungsgemäß festgezogen sind und die Bremsen korrekt funktionieren! Nachdem Sie die Antriebsräder in der für Sie angenehmsten Position montiert haben, muss die Lenkkopfneigung neu eingestellt werden. Um ein einwandfreies Lenkverhalten zu ge- währleisten, muss die Lenkachse der Vorder- räder (gestrichelte Linie) immer senkrecht zur Aufstandfläche des Rollstuhls ausgerichtet sein.

    Die AKTIVLINE Standard ist weitgehend wartungsfrei. Der einzige Punkt, der von Ihnen beachtet werden sollte, ist die regelmäßige Überprüfung des Reifen- drucks. Hierzu ist die Bereifung mit handelsüblichen Autoventilen ausgerüstet, so dass Sie für die Überprüfung des Luftdruckes das Luftdruckmessgerät Ihrer Tankstelle verwenden können. Die in der Rubrik „Technische Daten“ genannten maximalen Drücke dürfen hierbei nicht überschritten werden. Hinweis: Über die Kontrolle des Luftdruckes hinaus, sollten Sie regelmäßig über- prüfen, ob sich eventuell Verschraubungen oder andere Verbindungen der AKTIV- LINE Standard gelockert haben. Durch die starke Beanspruchung, der diese Versorgung ausgesetzt ist, kann nicht in jedem Fall ausgeschlossen werden, dass eventuell einige Schrauben von Zeit zu Zeit nachgezogen werden müssen. Wenden Sie sich in diesem Fall, wie auch wenn Einstellarbeiten an den Bremsen notwendig werden, an Ihren Fachhändler. Dieser wird Ihnen sicherlich gerne weiterhelfen oder sich im Bedarfsfall mit dem Hersteller in Verbindung setzen.     Sicherheitshinweise Bitte beachten Sie die folgenden Sicherheitshinweise: Voraussetzung für den Transport des AKTIVLINE Standard-Versorgungssystems in Behindertentransportkraftwagen (BTW) und Kraftfahrzeugen ist ein geprüftes und zugelassenes Rollstuhlrückhaltesystem des jeweiligen Transportunter- nehmers. 1. D ie maximale Belastbarkeit der AKTIVLINE Standard beträgt 70 kg. 2. B enutzen Sie zum Ein- oder Aussteigen aus dem Rollstuhl nicht die Fußauflagen. 3. T esten Sie die Auswirkungen von Schwerpunktverlagerungen auf das Verhal- ten des Rollstuhles, zum Beispiel auf Gefällstrecken, Steigungen, seitlichen Neigungen oder beim Überwinden von Hindernissen nur mit sicherer Unter- stützung eines Helfers. Sollte es einmal unvermeidlich sein, ihn auf ei- ner Steigung abzustellen, achten Sie bitte darauf, dass dabei der Sitz in eine aufrechte Position gebracht wird. Auf Steigungen kann in Liegeposition die Gefahr eines Kippens nach hinten bestehen. 5. A chten Sie darauf, dass die Neigung des Sitzes nur bei ausgeklapptem Kipp- schutz erfolgen darf. 6. A chten Sie beim Ergreifen von Gegenständen (die vor, seitlich oder hinter dem Rollstuhl liegen) darauf, dass sich der Patient nicht zu weit aus der Sitzschale lehnt, da durch die Schwerpunktverlagerung eine Kipp- bzw. Überschlagge- fahr entsteht.
  • Seite 26 9. A chten Sie darauf, dass die Begleitpersonen den Sitzschalenrollstuhl nur an fest montierten Bauteilen anfassen (NICHT z. B. an der Fußraste). 10. A chten Sie darauf, dass die Klemmhebel der höhenverstellbaren Schiebegriffe fest angezogen sind. 11. S ichern Sie das Sitzschalenuntergestell auf unebenem Gelände oder beim Umsteigen (z. B. ins Auto) mit den Bremsen. 12. S owohl die Wirkung der Kniehebelbremse als auch das allgemeine Fahr- verhalten sind vom Luftdruck der Reifen abhängig. Mit richtig aufgepumpten Antriebsrädern und gleichem Luftdruck auf beiden Rädern einer Achse lässt sich der Sitzschalenrollstuhl wesendlich leichter und besser manöverieren. Achten Sie desshalb vor Fahrtantritt auf den korrekten Luftdruck der von Ihnen verwendeten Bereifung. Der richtige Luftdruck ist auf der Raddecke aufgedruckt, bzw. der Luftdrucktabelle auf Seite 14 zu entnehmen. Kniehe- belbremsen sind nur bei ausreichendem Luftdruck und korrekter Einstellung (max. 10 mm Abstand, technische Änderungen vorbehalten) wirksam. 13. A chten Sie bitte darauf, dass die Bowdenzüge zur Bedienung der Trommelbrem- sen und der Gasdruckfeder-Auslösung nicht in die Nähe der Speichen ragen. 14. A chten Sie auf ausreichend Profiltiefe Ihrer Bereifung. 15. W ir weisen ausdrücklich darauf hin, dass Personen in Sitzschalen zu jedem Zeitpunkt mittels geeigneter Rückhaltesysteme (Begurtung) gesichert sein müssen. 16. B ei Kombinationen bzw. Einstellvarianten kann es passieren, dass die Len- kräder mit der Fußbank kollidieren. Beachten Sie, dass die Räder damit in ihrer Lenkfähigkeit eingeschränkt sind, lassen sie gegebenenfalls die Ein- stellungen ändern.

This is accomplished by beginning with less pressure and gradually increasing the pressure until the belt lies firmly and correctly. 2.3 P ressure pads for breast and shoulder The breast and shoulder pressure pads are used to fix the upper body of the patient. The use is described in the next two paragraphs. Attention: Adjustments should always be done from the hard back of the shell through the 4 belt clamps. Requirement: The person is already sitting in the seatshell, the pressure pads are laying backwards on the shell rim. Please proceed as follows: Bring the shoulder pads to the front. The head is now between the belts.  On the bottom part of the breast and shoulder pressure pads you find two  belt clams to fix the belts. Open the black clamp.  Push the belt in between the movable flap and the fixed part of the respec-  tive side that comes out between the seat and the back. Pull the belt as far as possible, hold it and fold the flap of the clamp back  into the fixed part. The belt is now fixed.  To open the lock, lift the flap of the clamp and pull the belt.  Repeat the process for the second belt.  To loosen the fixation of the breast and shoulder pressure pads, proceed in  opposite direction.

    To adjust the breast and shoulder pressure pads, proceed as follows: At first adjust the lower parts of the pressure pads.  Open the lower belt clamps at the hard back of the seatshell by simply pull-  ing the free end of the belt, the clamp will open automatically. To fix the patient in the seatshell proceed in opposite order.  Pay attention that after applying, nothing is constricted and breathing is not  impaired. 2.5 Breast belt with reverse rolls The breast belt with reverse rolls was mounted in the correct position when ad- justing the seatshell. Adjustments are always done by changing the depth of the insertion in the square pipe (Photo 4).     2.8 R emoving the cover of the Velcro back and seat upholstery To remove the cover of the  back upholstery, take it out of the seat shell, open the zipper at the lower end and pull the cover off. To remove the side upholstery,  loosen the Velcro fastener and pull the cover off (Photo 9). To remove the cover of the ad-  ditional side and back uphol- steries, open the zipper and pull the cover off (Photo 10). To attach the covers again,  proceed in reverse order. 2.9 D etaching the cover of the seat upholstery In order to detach the cover of the mounted seat upholstery proceed as follows: Remove the bach and seat unit  off the undercarriage. Romove the Velcro back and  side upholstery as desbribed in Chapter 2.7. Loosen the four screws on the  bottom side with a hexagon wrench key to disassembel the side upholstery (Photo 11).

    Advice: Make sure that all seams are aligned with the edged of the upholstery. 2.10 Adjusting the seat width and depth The width of the AKTIVLINE Standard seat can be enlarged by 5cm by removing the side upholstery (Chapter 2.7). The seat depth can also be enlarged by 7 cm. Use the four long holes on the bottom of the seat (Photo 6). You will get 3  cm more seat depth. You will get an additional 2 cm of depth by changing the physiological pivotal points and the back mounting suspension to the back drillings (Photo 11). By detaching the additional back upholstery (Chapter 2.7) you will get an-  other 2 cm of seat depth. 2.11 Dynamic Seating The entire movement sequence of the seating shell is controlled via physiological pivot points in the hips and the knees. The seat and back units are mounted on sliding rails and enable the hip angle to be opened up according to the movement sequences of the patient. At the same time, the knee angle and footrest unit allow for the dy- namic stretching tendency of the patient. A return spring system in both the seat and the leg system automatically return the patient to the initial physiological position. 2.11.1 S ecuring the pelvic and footrest mechanism Activate the pelvic mechanism (movement in the hip region) by pulling the locking pins located at the rear of the AKTIVLINE Stand- ard, underneath the seating shell (Photo 12), out of the tubular mount- ing and turning these through 90°.
  • Seite 43 Activate the footrest mechanism (movement in the leg region), by turning the fixing lever on the outside of the seating shell (Photo 13) anticlockwise until the footrest can be moved. Take care not to turn the fixing lever farther than required, as otherwise, there is a risk that the fixing lever may pop out of the thread. To deactivate the footrest mechanism, turn the fixing lever clockwise until the foot- rest is locked firmly into place again. Attention: In the event of a malfunction of the seating shell movement, always check the pelvic mechanism first and only then the footrest mechanism! 2.11.2 Knee Support (optional) In conjunction with the pelvic belt, the knee support (Photo 14) is an- other important element for the correct functioning of the AKTIV- LINE Standard. With the help of the knee support, the patient has the possibility to utilize the dynamic footrest system. The footrest dy- namic is supported by the use of the foot spats, which will be discussed in the following section. The following points are important when adjusting the knee support: 1. T he knee support should be adjusted to sit directly beneath the knee cap on the patella tendon. As the knee moves up and down when the leg is bent and stretched, it is important that the knee joint is not impeded by the knee sup- port in a way that could inhibit movement. 2. T he knee support should lie on the patella tendon, but not create pressure on the area.

    2.12 Arm rests AKTIVLINE Standard can be equip- ped with different arm rests from the series ALULINE. Fix the arm rest by loosening the clamping le- ver of the arm rest receptacle on the right and left side of the seat shell, insert the arm rest holder and tighten the lever again. Adjust- ments are always done by chang- ing the depth of the insertion in the square pipe (Photo 15). To adjust the angle of the arm rest proceed as follows: Turn the fixing lever anti-  clockwise to open the fixture (Photo 16). The arm rest angle can be  adjusted now. Change the square pipe to the  desired position and turn the black fixing lever clockwise to fix the square pipe. The position of the arm rest will now stay the same.  Repeat the same procedure on the other side.  2.13 Footrest System The AKTIVLINE Standard foot rest system must be fitted to the patient’s lower thigh. When doing this, it is important that the patient’s feet rest comfortably on the footrest. To adjust the footrest system to the length of the patient’s lower thigh, remove the screw on the adjustment plate of the footrest and move the footrest system higher or lower along the middle bar. Once the correct position has been located, tightly reattach the screw at the correct adjustment level. 2.13.1 Foot Spats The foot spats encourage the dynamic of the AKTIVLINE Standard footrest sys- tem. They should be loosely guided around the ankles and attached, but they should not be tight or exert pressure.

    To remove the seat shell, release both locking pins by pulling in an outward direc- tion while simultaneously turning the pins 90°. This will put the locking pins in the ‘open’ position. Remove the security pin which connects the back unit of the seat shell to the undercarriage. You will now be able to move the seat shell system forward and detach it from the adapter. Before reinstalling the shell, remember to turn the locking pins 90° again in order to reset them in the ‘closed’ position. Be careful that the security pin connecting the back unit with the undercarriage is again moved into place and that it is correctly set and adjusted. 3.2 Seat Tilt Mechanism The AKTIVLINE Standard undercarriage is outfitted with a mechanism allowing for the individual adjustment of the seat shell angle.     If the connection is not sufficient, it is possible that the tubing elements will slide apart leading to unnecessary structural wear and tear. 3.4 Anti-tip Wheels To guarantee AKTIVLINE Stand- ard’s stability, the undercarriage is equipped with two anti-tip wheels. These are mounted with a swivel version to make curbs, stairs and sharp turns easier to negotiate. Tip: Pay particular attention that the anti-tip wheels and the two small wheels areall pointed in the direction of the road surface when a patient is sitting in the seat! To swivel the anti-tip wheels proceed as follows: 1. Employ the parking brake. 2. S tand behind the AKTIVLINE Standard. 3. P ull one anti-tip bracket gently out of its tubular mounting (Photo 22). 4. P ull the anti-tip bracket outward and, in the extended position, turn it 90° so that the small wheel faces upward (Photo 23).

    3.5 Parking Brake Instructions Parking brake operating instructions: 1. P ress the two brake handles on the push bar. Be careful that the brake handle does not return to its starting position (the adjustment is audible); only then is the parking brake activated. 2. C heck the brakes by trying to push the AKTIVLINE Standard forward. Attention: If the brake does not adequately hold, bring your AKTIVLINE Standard to an authorized dealer service center for adjustment, or repair them yourself as described in chapter 3.5.2.! The parking brake can also be used to slow the AKTIVLINE Standard in order to negotiate steep or hilly terrain more easily. In such cases, pull the parking brake as required, but only as far as the first or second adjustment position. 3.5.1 Parking Brake Release Instructions for releasing the parking brake: 1. U nlock the brake from its position by releasing the adjustment lever and letting the brake lever slide back to its original position. A light pull of the adjustment lever may be necessary to release the brake lever, before the brake can be released. 3.5.2 Adjusting the Parking Brake Tool: Combination Wrench, Size 8 Requirement: weakness in the parking break; the AKTIVLINE Standard can still be moved despite fully applied brake. Instructions for adjusting the parking brake: 1. M ake certain that the parking brake is not applied; if necessary, release the parking brake. 2. T he parking brake Bowden cables are threaded through the adjustment screw in front of the brake anchor plate, allowing adjustment of the braking power.

R epeat this procedure as needed for the other wheel. 3.6 Rear Wheels The rear wheels of the AKTIVLINE Standard undercarriage are outfitted with quick release axles. This makes it easy to remove the wheels in case of a defec- tive tire, or a tube needing to be replaced. Instructions for removing or attaching the rear wheels: 1. T o open the quick release wheel lever, push and hold the release button in the middle to the wheel hub while removing the wheel from the wheel receiving rod. 2. W hen mounting the wheel onto the receiving rod, continuously press the release button until the wheel is in place. 3. I t is important to note that whether mounting or removing a wheel, the brake drums must be released in order for the wheel to either be removed or mounted.

    3.11 Adjustment and Assembly Every customer has individual wishes and needs. These help to determine which wheel chair variation is right for them, which accessories are necessary and how the adjustments to the wheel chair and its handling should be calibrated to best suit their requirements. Working together with your physical therapist or authorized interco dealer will assist you in finding the correct adjustments and positioning for your wheel chair. All technical adjustments should be made only by an authorized interco dealer or the manufacturer! Adjusting the Seat Height and Angle: The higher your drive wheel is attached to the frame, the steeper the seat will incline backward. This has two effects: first, the wheel chair will tilt slightly back- wards, and secondly, one will sit deeper and therefore more firmly in the chair. In combination with the inclination adjustment of the swivel wheels, the seat height can also be adjusted to optimally meet your individual requirements. Important: By altering the drive position, the angle of the swivel wheel axle to the ground is also changed. A 90 ° angle should always be maintained. The knee brake must also be readjusted accordingly. To change the installation height of the driving wheels, proceed as follows: 1. S ecure the wheel chair on an even surface to avoid unintentional tipping. 2. T here should not be a patient in the wheel chair. 3. R elease the wheel brake. 4.     Once the driving wheels have been mounted in the most comfortable position for you, the steer- ing head inclination must be readjusted. To guar- antee perfect steering, the front wheel steering axle (dashed line) should always be perpen- dicular to the underground. If this is no longer the case due to alteration of the driving wheels, the front wheels can be repositioned by turning the external nuts on the front wheel receptacle (arrows). The use of a t-square (back square) is recommended to retighten the screws. It is important that both sides are positioned identically! Care and Service The AKTIVLINE Standard is covered with a robust plastic coating. Most parts can be cleaned with soapy water and a soft sponge. Avoid aggressive or abrasive scrubs that can damage the plastic coating finish. All disinfection fluids stand- ard to this area of use can be employed. The fabrics can be treated with a mild detergent. The AKTIVLINE Standard is mostly maintenance free. The only point requiring your regular attention is the tire pressure. The tires are therefore pro- duced with standard air valves, so that the tire pressure can be easily tested and adjusted at your local gas station. The maximum tire pressure specification listed in the ‘Technical Data’ section should be adhered to and in no case exceeded. Tip: In addition to the tire pressure, you should regularly check that all connec- tions, screws, bolts and nuts are properly and securely fastened and that they have not become loose. Due to the demanding nature of the required care, it is not out of the question that some of the screws and fasteners will require tightening from time to time. T he maximum AKTIVLINE Standard load is 70 kg. 2. D o not use the footrest for support when getting into or out of the wheel chair. 3. T est the effect of shifting weight (and the center of gravity) on the wheel chair; for example when driving up or down hill, on angled surfaces or when negotiating obstacles and obstructions with safety assistance from a helper. The use of an anti-tip system is strongly recommended for an inexperienced wheel chair user.
  • Seite 56 6. E xercise caution when reaching for objects (lying in front of, behind or to the side of the wheel chair), that the patient does not lean too far out of the seat. This weight shift can create a tipping or overturning danger. 7. T he anti-tip system is a device designed to prevent an unintentional backward fall. The anti-tip system should never be utilized to control the transportation function of the chair; for example, in an attempt to transport a patient when the driving wheels have been removed. 8. S tair should only be climbed with the assistance of an accompanying person. If ramps or elevators are available, they should be utilized. If ramps or eleva- tors are not available, two people are needed to carry the wheel chair and patient up the stairs. If only one person is available, the anti-tip system must be activated before ascending so that the chair can not be set down on the stairs, which would other-wise lead to a dangerous fall. Afterwards the anti- tip system must be returned to the correct position. When using a loading lift with the anti-tip system, it is important to place the anti-tip device within the standard area of the loading lift. 9. T he assisting person should be careful to touch the wheel chair only on the fixed, structural elements of the chair (not, for example, on the foot notch). 10. B e certain that the clamp lever of the height-adjustable push bar is closed tightly. 11. S ecure the seat system undercarriage on uneven surfaces or when getting in or out of the chair (for example, into an automobile) with the brakes. 12. T he knee brake, as well as the general driving handling of the AKTIVLINE Standard, is dependent on the tire pressure.
