e) Connecting the flight battery
• Push the charged flight battery (1), according
to the figure, from the back into the battery
shaft (2), that is mounted between the skid
landing gear.
• Pull out the transmitter antenna completely
and turn on the transmitter.
• Push the control stick for the Pitch function in
the motor off position and connect the BEC
plug of the flight battery (3) at the electronics
module (4) of the helicopter.
• The electronics module carries out an internal
alignment that lasts for approx. 2 seconds.
During this time, the green control LED (5) flickers and the helicopter should not be moved during
this period of time.
• When the alignment is completed, both swash plate servos (6) run in the neutral position and the
control LED flashes continuously. For a better overview, the canopy of the helicopter is not illus-
trated in the figure.
Before flying, install the canopy as the latter is absolutely necessary for a correct centre of gravity.
f) Practical flight tips for the first start
• Even if the model can fly in the narrowest spaces, for the first test flights, we recommend using a
free space of about 3 x 3 m.
• The support should be flat (tiles, parquet flooring, or similar) to allow you to determine already
before the take off if the model tends to drift off in a particular direction.
• Place yourself exactly behind your helicopter. As long as you can see your model from behind, the
latter will react to the control commands: right, left, forward, backward exactly as you see it.
Whereas, if the cockpit of the model points towards you, it reacts exactly the opposite way from
your steering commands at the transmitter.
In order to achieve the max. radio range during the flight, it is necessary to unwind the
wire of the antenna that was wound up for transport.
In practice, it has proved worth to guide the wire in a loop out of the model and then to let
it hang freely downward. For strain relief, you should fix the wire of the antenna with
adhesive film at the skid landing gear.
Attention! Lay the wire of the antenna in a way that prevents it from getting into rotating
parts during the flight.
