• Only charge an intact and undamaged rechargeable battery. If the external insulation of the re-
chargeable battery is damaged or if the rechargeable battery is warped or bloated, it must not be
charged. In this case there is serious danger of fire and explosion!
• Never damage the envelop of the LiPo/LiIon battery pack, do not tear the foil cover, do not prick
into the rechargeable battery with sharp objects. Danger of fire and explosion!
• Remove the rechargeable battery that is to be charged from the model and place it on a fire-proof
support. Observe a distance to flammable objects.
Attention!
After the flight, the battery pack must be disconnected from the helicopter. Do not leave
the rechargeable battery connected to the helicopter if the latter is not used (e.g. during
transport or storage). Otherwise, the battery pack can be fully discharged and thus de-
stroyed/unusable!
Disconnect the battery pack from the charger when the battery pack is fully charged.
Charge the battery pack at the latest every 2-3 months if the battery pack/helicopter is
not used (e.g. during storage in winter).
• As the plug-in power supply unit as well as the charge adaptor/balancer and the battery pack heat
up during the charging procedure, it is necessary to ensure sufficient ventilation. Never cover the
plug-in power supply unit, the charge adaptor/balancer or the battery pack!
• Never charge rechargeable batteries unsupervised.
• The plug-in power supply unit, the charge adaptor/balancer and the battery pack must not get
damp or wet. There is danger to life through an electric shock; furthermore, there is danger of fire
and explosion through the battery pack.
Charge the battery pack in a dry, closed indoor location only. Do not expose the plug-in power
supply unit, the charge adaptor/balancer and the battery pack to high/low temperatures nor to
direct solar radiation.
• When connecting (plug-in power supply unit, charge adaptor/balancer, battery pack) make sure to
observe the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-). A wrong polarity involves a danger of fire and
explosion!
The operation of the remote control (transmitter) with rechargeable batteries instead of
batteries is possible.
However, the low voltage (batteries=1.5 V, rechargeable batteries=1.2 V) and the lower
capacity of rechargeable batteries do lead to a decrease of the operating time. However,
normally this does not matter, since the operating time of the transmitter is far beyond
that of the helicopter.
If you use batteries in the remote control, we recommend the use of high-quality alkaline
batteries.
When using rechargeable batteries there can be a decrease in range.
Take note of chapter 9.c) when charging the rechargeable batteries in the transmitter!
