b) Before operation
• Make sure that no other models are operated within the range of the remote control on the same
remote control channel (transmitter frequency). Otherwise, you will lose control over the remote-
controlled model!
Always use different channels if you wish to operate simultaneously two or several models in the
immediate proximity of each other.
• Check the function safety of your model and of the remote control system. Pay attention to visible
damages such as broken plug-in connections or damaged cables.
All movable parts on the model have to be smooth running; however, there must be no tolerance in
the bearing.
Important!
Also check the retaining screws at the rotor blades. They must be tightened in such a way
as to allow the rotor blades during operation to align in a 180° angle to each other. It is
only so that a low-vibration running without unbalances is possible.
Out tip: If you hold the rotor shaft horizontally, the rotor blades must be able to let slightly
downward.
• Charge the flight battery, which is necessary for operation, as well as the rechargeable battery
needed in the remote control according the instructions indicated by the manufacturer.
Take note of chapter 9.c) when charging the rechargeable batteries in the transmitter!
• As power source for the plug-in charger use a 230V~/50Hz mains socket of the public power sup-
ply only. Never try to operate the device at another voltage.
• If batteries are used for the power supply of the transmitter, make sure that there is a sufficient
rest capacity (battery checker). If the batteries are empty, always replace the complete set (never
individual cells!).
• Before each operation, control the settings of the trim slider at the transmitter for different steer-
ing directions and, if necessary, set them.
• To operate your model, always pull out the telescopic antenna to its full length as otherwise the
transmitters presents a considerable lower range and the transmitter output is strained higher
than average.
• Always switch the transmitter on first. It is only afterwards that the flight battery of the helicopter
may be connected to the electronics module. Otherwise, the electric-driven helicopter can have
unpredictable reactions.
