9. Getting started with the transmitter

Please note:
In the operating instructions, the numbers in the text always refer to the figure opposite
or the figures within the section. Cross references to other figures are indicated with the
respective figure number.

a) Screwing on the antenna of the transmitter

If the telescopic antenna of the transmitter is included separately, it must be inserted, as far as it will
go, from the front/top though the circular opening into the casing of the transmitter (also see figure 1,
pos. 1) and then tightened by hand like a screw. Do not use force; do not use any tool!
b) Inserting the batteries/rechargeable batteries in the transmitter
For the power supply of the transmitter you will need 8 alkaline batteries or rechargeable batteries
mignon size (AA). For ecological and also for economical reasons it is recommended to use recharge-
able batteries, since they can be recharged (see chapter 9.c) in the transmitter via a built-in charging
socket (see figure 2, pos. 5). To insert the batteries or rechargeable batteries, proceed as follows:
1. The battery compartment lid (1) is located on
the rear side of the transmitter. Please press
the corrugated triangle and push off the lid
downward.
2. Remove the battery holder (2) and place 8 bat-
teries or rechargeable batteries in the battery
compartment.
Pay attention to the correct polarity of the cells.
A corresponding indication (3) is located at the
bottom of the battery compartment.
3. In order to be able to place the battery com-
partment again in the remote control easily, it
makes sense to disconnect the BEC connector
(4) then to re-connect it.
4. Afterwards slide on the lid of the battery com-
partment and let the locking mechanism click
into place.
