Charging the Flight Battery

Before the final assembly of the model, you should charge
the LiPo flight battery (1). An appropriate LiPo battery charger
(2) is included in the delivery.
Connect the flight battery with the connector protected
against polarity reversal (3) of the charger.
Then connect the included 12 V connection cable (4) to the
left of the charger to connect the charger to a 12 V car battery.
Connect the red terminal clamp of the connection cable to
the plus and the black terminal clamp to the minus pole of
the car battery.
Alternatively, the voltage input socket (5) of the charger can
also be connected to a 12 V/DC mains adapter with a current
of approx. 1 A (not included in the delivery).
The middle contact of the voltage input socket must be
connected to the plus terminal (+) and the outer contact to
the minus terminal (-) of the mains adapter.
For photo-technical reasons, the connection cable of the charger is illustrated in the wound-up state.
Before first use, the cable retainer should be opened and the cable unwound.
After connecting the charger with the flight battery connected to a power source (car battery or 12 V/DC mains adapter),
the red charging control display at the LiPo charger lights up (see figure 6, item 6) and indicates the correct charging
procedure.
When the charging process is completed after about 90 minutes, the colour of the charging control display changes
from red to green. Then remove the flight battery from the LiPo charger and remove the charger from the voltage
source.
Attention!
During the charging procedure, place the LiPo battery on a fire-proof support or in an appropriate pottery
container.
Never charge the rechargeable battery unattended.
The mains adapter must be used in dry indoor locations only. It must not get damp or wet. Never touch it
when your hands are wet or damp. There is the risk of a fatal electric shock.
