e) Connecting the Drive Battery to the Speed Controller

First switch off the speed controller. The on/off switch is found,
e.g. at the top of the chassis bridge (see circle in the figure
on the right).
To switch it off, move the slider away from the setup button
(„OFF").
Then switch on the transmitter (see chapter 9. b) and c).
To prevent sudden start-up of the wheels and therefore uncontrolled starting of the model (e.g. if the trimming
for the drive is maladjusted), place the model vehicle on a suitable support (or starting box), so that the
wheels can turn freely in case of an error.
Do not reach into the drive. Do not hold the wheels.
Now connect the drive battery to the speed controller. Ensure correct polarity (red cable = plus/+, black cable =
minus/-).

f) Switching on the Speed Controller

Switch on the speed controller by moving the slider (see figure in chapter 9. e) towards the setup button („ON"). Then
wait for a few seconds (leave the throttle/brake lever on the transmitter in the neutral position; do not move it).
If the vehicle drive starts although the throttle/brake on the transmitter is in the neutral position, then adjust
the trim on the transmitter until the motor stops. If the trimming path is insufficient, the neutral position must
be programmed, see chapter 11. a).
Now check the drive and steering functions of the vehicle.
For programming the speed controller, please observe chapter 11.
Important!
If a LiPo battery is used as a drive battery, check the basic settings of the speed controller for whether
undervoltage protection is activated (usually 3.0 V/cell). With the undervoltage recognition deactivated, the
LiPo battery will suffer deep discharge and be destroyed.
If an NiMH- or NiCd-drive battery is used, deactivate the undervoltage recognition.

g) Attaching and Fastening the Car Body

Push the aerial tube from the bottom of the car body through the respective opening. Now put the car body on the
holders and fasten it with the car body clips removed at the start.
