c) Setting the Shock Absorbers
The shock absorbers at the front and rear vehicle axles can be mounted in different positions at the lower transverse
link (A) or the damper bridge (B).
At the upper shock absorber end (C), clips suitable for setting the spring-pre-tension
(included) can be inserted; see figure to the right.
Always set the shock absorbers for one axle evenly (at the left and right wheels of the
front or rear axle). Otherwise, driving behaviour will be influenced negatively.
Optional accessories (not included in the delivery; can be ordered separately) that can be used include
springs with a different stiffness or damper oil of a different viscosity for filling the shock absorbers.
Aluminium tuning shock absorbers that can be adjusted with a thumb wheel can also be used.
d) Slip-Clutch
There is a slip clutch between the main pinion and the front/
rear wheel drive (A). This protects the drive from overload
(e.g. at quick switching between reversing and forward
driving).
The basic settings were already made by the manufacturer;
correction is usually not required.
If you find that the vehicle will accelerate badly, check the
slip clutch settings and set it a little tighter with the hexagon
nut (B).
Frequent overload or too-weak setting of the slip clutch will
cause the slip clutch linings to wear and need to be replaced.
