CO - scrubber cartridge

The CO -scrubber cartridge is filled with Dräger

®
DiveSorb .
Warning!
NEVER use any type of sodalime other than

DiveSorb in your DrägerRay. The use of other
types of CO -scrubber cartridge may lead to serious

injury or death.
Filling of the CO -scrubber cartridge

Remove the securing ring of the lower cartridge lid and
place it onto an even surface with the notch showing to
the top (Figure 6.7) After removing the bottom lid (lid with
spring-loaded sieve) place the cartridge with the plug-in
connector onto this ring (Figure 6.8) and place one of the
covers for the plug-in connectors onto the open tube in
the middle (Figure 6.9).
Fill one half of the cartridge with DiveSorb
well by using your hand to hit against the outer
cartridge (Figure 6.8, Figure 6.10)
Note!
Do not tap on the bottom of the cartridge or slam it
against a char, table or other hard surface. Only use your
hand against the outside wall.
Only fill sodalime until the cartridge is filled between the
upper and lower filling line (Pos. 39, Bild 3.10 and Figure
6.9). Now remove the cover from the tube in the middle.
There are two grooves in the inner wall marking the
upper and lower filling line. Remove sodalime from
sealing surface and O-Ring at the cartridge lid, place on
lid and secure it with snap ring. Make sure that the snap
ring has engaged and the slit in the ring is not wider than
1 to 2 mm. Before continuing assembly remove dust from
cartridge by shaking it carefully.
