Warning!
Failure to use oxygen compatible lubricants and
components with nitrox/oxygen enriched air gas

Sodalime
Use only Dräger 'DiveSorb' in your DrägerRay
Rebreather. The scrubber cartridge for the DrägerRay
will hold approximately 1.5 liters (1,25 kg) of Dräger
®
DiveSorb per filling.
Operating pressure
200 bar/ 3000psi to 25 bar/ 360 psi.
Gas supply
4L gas cylinder 200 bar / 3000 psi fill pressure. The
DrägerRay nitrox cylinder should be filled to 3000 psi/
200 bar.The first stage valve has been specially designed
for oxygen enriched gas mixtures and is designed and
prepared for oxygen use. First stage connection is
M 24x 2.
Proportioning and time of usage
Using the nitrox mixtures and flow rate shown in table 5.1
into the breathing bag, variations of up to ±20 % of the
average flow rate are within the allowed tolerance range.
The average flow rate will vary depending on pressure
dependents of the pressure reducer and other tole-
rances. Following these average, a 4 liter cylinder at
3000 psi / 200 bar will last approximately the figures,
shown in table 5.1.

This average time does not take into consideration the
elevated gas usage that occurs while testing the equip-
ment, activating the bypass valve, 'nose breathing', or
other uses of gas. This average is also independent of
oxygen use and diving depths, although under no
circumstances should the user use these average figures
rather than carefully planning a dive and following the gas
supply indicated on the submersible pressure gauge
attached to the nitrox cylinder.

Be sure to frequently check the DrägerRay's sub-
messible pressure gauge for the breathing gas
mixture to avoid low or out-of-gas situations, which
could lead to serious personal injury or death.
