Handling and Use
Post Dive care of the DrägerRay
Press the low pressure inflator button so that the valve
seat and sealing connectors are rinsed.
Always store the DrägerRay and any of its components in
a cool, dry, well ventilated and shaded area. Avoid ex-
tended exposure of any part of the DrägerRay to UV
radiation. Before storing the DrägerRay for a prolonged
period of time, disinfect it with an antiseptic as described
above, and dry it thoroughly.
Make sure that the directional valves do not stick to their
seats, that the cartridge lid is loosely attached, and that
the sealing surface does not stick to the cartridge
housing. Make sure that the breathing hoses and brea-
thing bags are not kinked while being stored.
You should regularly check that the DrägerRay stays dry,
especially the inside of breathing bags and breathing
hoses. Inflate the BC to approximately half of its
maximum volume.
