Warning!
DO NOT exceed the maximum depth recommen-
dations for the approved gas mixture used by the
DrägerRay. Doing so may lead to oxygen toxicity which
will likely result in serious injury or death.
Most nitrox training courses recommend a maximum
sustained oxygen partial pressure of no more than 1.4
ATA. If you plan on spending more than just a few
minutes at the maximum depths, or if you are planning on
exerting yourself heavily during the dive, it is strongly
recommended that you reduce the maximum depths to
provide for a partial oxygen pressure of more than 1.4
ATA.
Dräger Sicherheitstechnik GmbH strongly recommends
the use of the Dräger OXYgauge or a suitable Nitrox
decompression computer with an acoustic warning for
residual pressure when diving the DrägerRay.
The DrägerRay should never be used for planned staged
decompression diving. It is neither designed nor manu-
factured for such a specialized application, and with the
proper use of the nitrox mixture available for use with the
DrägerRay, the prudent diver should never run into a
decompression obligation.

planned staged decompression diving. Doing so

Remember, as you learned in your DrägerRay certifi-
cation course, when calculating decompression obliga-
tion using the DrägerRay, YOU MUST base your
calculations upon the oxygen/nitrogen content of your
breathing bag, NOT the nitrox cylinder!
Warning!
ALWAYS calculate your decompression status,
whether through a table or nitrox computer, using
the calculated oxygen/nitrogen mixture in your breathing
bag and not the oxygen/nitrogen mixture in your nitrox
cylinder. Failure to do so may lead to decompression
sickness, which can lead to serious personal injury or
death.
