Preparation of DrägerRay Buoyancy compensator
Before each use check your DrägerRay Buoyancy
Compensator to ensure proper functioning. Make sure
the outlet valves are freely accessible. Inflate the BC and
leave it inflated for approximately five minutes.
If any gas escapes from the BC, there is a leak which
must be repaired before you go diving. Make sure that all
components are firmly attached
Connect the inflator hose to the inflator and inflate the
jacket by the inflator hose until the relief valves are acti-
vated. Check the relief valve by pulling the cord. Check
the BC straps and fabric for worn out seams and other
damage. When using a weight belt, make sure that it is
placed over the straps for the DrägerRay and that the
quick release buckle is easily accessible.
In use of the Dräger OXYgauge will be explained in the
Instruction for Use of the OXYgauge.
The concept of DrägerRay is to put in about 10 lbs of
your diving weights into the trimming weight pockets, and
to carry the balance of your weights on a standard weight
belt, to allow for quick release, should the situation arise.
