Preparation for diving
As shown in Figure 6.13 the manifold (9) is then
positioned at the left side next to the small trimming
weight pocket. The inflator hose (12) runs in parallel
with the corrugated hose (43) of the buoyancy
chamber through the outer cover. The medium
pressure hose (10) to the bypass valve (11) is led to
the right towards the bypass valve which is connected
with the inhalation bag (22) at the plug-in connector
(32). The hose (13) of the bail out lung demand valve
(14) runs under the hose of the bypass valve and is
led to the outside above the bypass valve.
By shortly opening the cylinder valve blow off any
water and dust from the valve inside.
The Finimeter runs between the sodalime cartridge
and the Nitrox cylinder and can be attached to the
unit using one of the velcro loops (60) (FigureBild
3.1). Push Nitrox cylinder into cylinder strap and
screw pressure reducer onto cylinder valve. Sign
Nitrox cylinder and secure it by closing the strap
(Figure 6.14).
Secure the protruding end of the strap by pressing the
two velcro connectors together. The cylinder strap has to
be adjusted to fit the respective cylinder diameter.
Otherwise it might come loose
during operation.
Danger!
The connection between Nitrox cylinder and
pressure reducer must not be lubricated, or get
into contact with oil or grease, 'danger of explosion'.
Warning!
Do not attempt to use the DrägerRay if there are
any leaks while performing the above described
inhalation checks. If you cannot stop any suspected
leaks by disassembly and reassembly, you must bring
the entire unit to your authorized DrägerRay distributor
for inspection and/ or repair before use. Failure to do
so could lead to serious personal injury or death.
Check the breathing bag for proper function Make sure
that the water outlet screws (26) of the breathing bags
have been installed and secured.
