Function key

- This function is used to define the function which is to be executed
when the function key is pressed (when the »

Select the menu items » Settings \ Instrument \ Function key « in


An icon corresponding to the selected function appear on the right
side of the display. Possible selections:
Peak – The maximum measured values
(the minimum value for O
Hold – The currently displayed measured values
are held on the display

Silent Alarm

– The audible alarm is deactivated.
The audible
reactivated when the instrument is switched
off, but
remains unchanged.
Pump – The pump is deactivated.
Leakage- – the leakage mode with the CAT sensor is
Mode CA switched on (prerequisite: CatEx sensor is
available and configured to CH
Leakage- – the leakage mode with the PID sensor is
Mode PID switched on (prerequisite: PID sensor is
available).
CA–CH4 – The quick-configuration changeover for
the CatEx sensor is activated.

- In measuring mode, the selected function can now be activated,or
the configuration can be switched, by briefly pressing the »
key. This function is disabled if the application mode is activated.

Silent Alarm

- This function is used to switch off the audible alarm.
Select the menu items » Settings \ Instrument \ Silent Alarm « in

this order, pressing the »
Select the desired status » Enable « or » Disable « and press

the » « key to activate it.

When the status » Enable « is active, the audible alarm is switched off.
This is indicated by the icon »
- The audible alarm is automatically reactivated when the instrument is
switched off, but the function key assignment remains unchanged.
7.2.7

Life Signal

- This function is used to switch the life signal on or off.
The life signal, which indicates that the instrument is operating
correctly, is activated when the instrument leaves the factory.
The activated life signal is required for the reliable use of the
instrument as a gas-warning device.
Select the menu items » Settings \ Instrument \ Life signal « in

this order, pressing the »
Select the desired status » Enable « or » Disable « and press

the » « key to activate it.
