General safety notes

Before using this product, carefully read the associated

Instructions for Use. This document does not replace the
Instructions for Use.
Before attempting to change any parameters of the instrument,

make sure that you have read and understood the contents of this
Technical Handbook.
Response if the measuring range of 100 %LEL or 5 Vol.-%
methane if exceeded:
In case the measurement range at the CatEx channel is exceeded
significantly (very high concentration of flammable substances),
a blocking alarm is triggered (for outline of the blocking alarm, see
Instructions for Use). The blocking alarm can be acknowledged
manually by switching the device off and back on again in fresh air
(free of flammable gases and vapours).
Exception:
For CatEx sensors with a measuring range of up to 100 Vol.-%

methane: No blocking alarm is triggered in the "methane"
configuration setting when a measuring range is exceeded with
100 %LEL methane, because the unambiguousness of the display
for methane is ensured via a separate measurement of the thermal
conductivity.
