Care
The instrument needs no special care.
If the openings for the audible signal generator, the sensors and
the charging contacts become very dirty, clean them carefully.
Dirt and deposits can be removed from the instrument by washing
it with cold water. A sponge can be used for wiping if necessary.
CAUTION
!
Rough cleaning equipment (brushes, etc.), cleaning agents
and solvents may destroy the dust and water filter and could
result in incorrect measurement results.
If necessary, replace the membrane positioned in front of the sensors,
page 83.

Maintenance

The instrument should be inspected
persons every six months (see also: EN 60079-29-2 – Gas measuring
devices - Selection, installation, use and maintenance of apparatus for the
measurement of combustible gases or oxygen, EN 45544-4 – Electrical
devices for the direct detection and direct concentration measurement of
toxic gases and vapours - Part 4: Guidelines for selection, installation,
use and maintenance and the applicable national regulations).
The instrument may be repaired
We recommend that a service contract be obtained with

Adjusting the instrument – page 79.
-
At regular intervals depending on the installed sensors and
the operating conditions. See the sensor data sheets for sensor-
specific calibration data.
-
Before you carry out safety-related relevant measurements,
the zero point and sensitivity of the instruments should be tested
in accordance with national regulations.
Inspection by suitably qualified persons – every sjx months.
-
The inspection intervals must be established in each individual
case and shortened if necessary, depending on technical safety
considerations, engineering conditions, and the technical
requirements of the equipment.
-
We recommend that a service contract be obtained with
DrägerService and that all repairs also be carried out by them.
Replace the sensors, page 83 – as necessary, when they can no
longer be calibrated.
Replace the membrane over the sensors, page 85 – as necessary,
