Commissioning

This section describes how to place the PBX into operation. This includes turning on the PBX,
setting up the network connection between the computer and the PBX as well as logging into
the web interface on the PBX for setting up the initial configuration.

Turning on the PBX

Requirements
PBX connected to earthing and casing closed
Warning: Touching live conductors or telephone connections may cause a
life-threatening electric shock.
Note: If you have a USB memory stick with a configuration for automatic
loading (auconfig.cfg), insert it into the USB socket (USB host) of the CPU
module before you switch on the PBX. The configuration data stored on the
USB memory stick will automatically be saved to the PBX after switching
on. The PBX restarts afterwards.
Connect the PBX to a freely accessible 230 V Schuko socket.
Notes: If the Power LED remains continuously lit in red, an error has
occurred. Please contact your dealer or the manufacturer directly.
Switching off and powering down the PBX is described in detail in the chap-
ter Service and Maintenance > Powering Down and Switching Off of the
Operation Guide.
Further steps
Open the configuration manager of the PBX.

Opening the Configuration Manager

Configuring the PBX using a PC is done using the configuration manager inte-
grated in the PBX. This can be accessed via the IP address of the PBX. The IP
address to be used depends on your connection and network environment.
