• Injuries because of the workpiece being slung
away due to incorrect holding or usage, such as
working without end stop.
• Risk to health because of wood dust or wood splin-
ters. Wear personal protection gear such as eye
protection and dusk mask without fail. Use an ex-
traction system!
• Injuries caused by a defect saw blade. Check the
saw blade regularly for its integrity.
• Electricity danger, in case electrical connections
that are not according to the rules are used.
• Furthermore, despite of all precautions unapparent
remaining risk can exist.
• Remaining risks can be minimized, when the
"Safety information" and the "Intended use" as well
as the operational instructions are both respected.
• Deactivate the machine and pull out the power
plugs when you want to clean the machine.
• Keep the electrical connections always oil and
grease free.
• The machine has a working area that is in front of
the machine.
• For cleaning always switch off the machine and
pull the power plug.
• Keep electric cables always free from oil and
grease.
• The operator's work place is in front of the machine.
• Wear protective gloves to avoid injuries to fin-
gers and hands when handling the saw blade and
grooving tools, feeding the work piece into the ma-
chine, or when executing repairs.
• Do not try to remove wood chips while the saw
blade is running and while the sawing unit has not
come to a standstill.
• Only use the machine with all the guards in place
and all the cutting tools in perfect condition.

Noise specific values
The according to the EN 23746 for the sound pressure
level resp. EN 31202 (correction factor k3 after sup-
plement A.2 from EN 31204 calculated) for the sound
pressure level on the working site ascertained noise
emission value amounts under the foundations of ISO
7960 supplement A performed working conditions to:
Sound pressure level at workstation in dB(A):
Idle state L
= 95 dB(A),
WA
Processing L
= 101 dB(A)
WA
Sound power level in dB
Idle state L
= 103 dB(A),
WA
Processing L
= 108 dB(A)
WA
There is a measurement insecurity allowance K=4dB
for the mentioned emission values.
The stipulated values are emission values and so
do not necessarily represent safe working values.
Although there is a correlation between emission lev-
els and exposure levels, it is not possible to reliably
determine whether additional protective measures
will be required or not based on this.
Factors that could influence the exposure level pre-
sent at any given time in the work area include the
duration of exposure, the nature of the working area,
other noise sources etc. e.g. the number of machines
and neighbouring processes. The permissible work-
station values can also vary from country to country.
However, this information should enable the operator
to better evaluate the hazards and risks.
