Putting into operation

• Observe the notes on safety before putting the machine into operation.
• Be sure all guards and indispensable accessories are fitted.
• Always switch off the motor and disconnect the plug from the power supply prior to any setting, adjusting,
measuring, maintenance and cleaning work. Set the main switch to "O" and wait for the rotating tool to
come to a standstill.

Milling tool and insert ring
• Pay attention to the possibilities of use of the dif-
ferent milling tools.
• Put in place the corresponding insert ring: Ø 115
or 145 mm, or Ø 65 mm (optional equipment).
• When working with the fielding cutter or with the
spindle in canted position, the insert ring must not
be used.
• Watch the direction of rotation of the milling tool.
• Place the milling tool with the spindle bushes onto
the moulding spindle and firmly tighten the spindle
nut (single-ended open-jaw wrench size 41).
Attention: Always mount the milling tool from below.

Moulding fence
1) Basic setting of the moulding depth from 0 to
80 mm
Release the two handles (1a) and make the basic
setting (1) according to the scale. One mark on the
scale corresponds with 0.5 mm.
Retighten the handles (1a) in working position.
2) Moulding depth fine-adjustment
Firmly tighten the handles (1a), taking care not to
change the parallel adjustment between the
moulding fence and the workpiece.
Release the two handles (2a) and make the fine-
adjustment on the handle (2). One mark on the
handle scale corresponds with 0.1 mm.
Retighten the handles (2a) in working position.
3) Setting the fence profile
Release the two handles (3) and adjust the two
fence profiles according to the tool.
Position the fence profiles as close as possible to
the milling tool and tighten the handles.
A stop pin in both fence profiles protects against
their inadvertant pulling out. For changing the
fence profiles, screw the handles further out.
