Operating mode / Operating period

The electric motor is designed for operating mode S 6 - 40 %.
S 6 = uninterrupted running at interrupted working.
40 % = 4 min. load and 6 min. idle running within a period of 10 min.
In case of overload, the motor switches off automatically due to a winding thermostat in the motor
winding. After a (shorter or longer) cooling-off period, the motor can be switched on again.
Defective electric cables
Electric cables often suffer insulation damage.
Possible causes are:
• Pinch points when connection cables are run through window or door gaps.
• Kinks resulting from incorrect attachment or laying of the connection cable.
• Cuts resulting from running over the connection cable.
• Insulation damage resulting from forcefully pulling out of the wall socket.
• Cracks through aging of insulation.Such defective electrical connection cables must not be used as the
insulation damage makes them extremely hazardous.
Check electrical connection cables regularly for damage. Make sure the cable is disconnected from the mains
when checking. Electrical cables must comply with the relevant VDE and DIN regulations as well as your local
electrical regulations in force. Only use connection cables with the denomination H 07 RN. The type designa-
tion must be printed on the cable.
• Extension cables up to 25 m in length must have a cross section of at least 1.5 mm²; above 25 m at least
2.5 mm².
• Mains fuse protection is 16 Amps slow-blow.

Three-phase motor

• The mains voltage must be 380 to 420 V.
• Mains connection and extension cables must have 5 leads = 3 phases + neutral + earthed conductor.
• Extension cables must have a minimum cross section of 1.5 mm².
• Maximum fuse protection of the mains connection is 16 Amps.
• Upon initial connection or a change in location of the machine, check the direction of rotation. If
required, change the polarity in the machine plug.
Only a qualified electrician is permitted to connect the machine and complete repairs on its electrical
equipment.
In the event of enquiries, please specify the following data:
• Motor manufacturer, motor type
• Type of current of the motor
• Data recorded on the machine's rating plate
• Data of the electric control
If a motor has to be returned, it must always be dispatched with the complete driving unit and switch.
