Remaining hazards

The machine has been built using modern technology in accordance with recognized safety rules. Some
remaining hazards, however, may still exist.
• The rotating milling cutter can cause injuries to fingers and hands if the workpiece is incorrectly fed.
• Ejected workpieces can lead to injury if the workpiece is not properly secured or fed, such as working with-
out a fence.
• Wood chips and sawdust can be health hazards.
• Be sure to wear personal protective gear such as safety goggles and a dust mask. Use a vacuum exhaust
system.
• Noise can be a health hazard. The permitted noise level is exceeded when working. Be sure to wear per-
sonal protective gear such as ear protection.
• The use of incorrect or damaged power supply cables can lead to injuries caused by electricity.
• Only process selected woods without defects such as knots, edge and surface cracks.
• Wood with such defects is a risk when working.
• Defective milling cutters can cause injuries. Regularly inspect the structural integrity of your cutters.
• Even when all safety measures are taken, some remaining hazards which are not yet evident, may still be
present.
• Remaining hazards can be minimized by following the instructions in the general and safety notes, notes
for authorized use, and in the entire operating manual.
