f) Steering the model aircraft

Before operating your model for the first time, it is necessary and important to familiarise yourself with the control
functions.
After getting started (see chapter 11. d), use the two joysticks on the transmitter to control the model. Use the joystick
for motor function (see Figure 29, no. 5) to regulate the common speed of four electric motors. The farther the joystick
is pushed forward, the higher the speed of four motors/propellers and thus the thrust of the model.
At higher speeds, the model ascends at a flat angle. At medium speeds, the model flies at a constant height. At lower
speeds, the model reduces the flight altitude.
Because the tailplane is firmly fixed before take-off (see chapter 11. e), steady straight-ahead flight is pos-
sible only at a certain speed.
Use the right joystick to control the flight direction (see also Figure 26, no. 6).
When the joystick for direction control is not used, it remains in the middle position by spring force. Both motors run
equally fast when throttling and the model flies straight.
When the joystick for direction control is pushed to the left, the two right drive motors run faster and the left drive mo-
tors run slower. The model performs a left turn due to different thrust forces.
When the joystick is pushed to the right, the two left drive motors run faster and the right drive motors run slower. The
model performs a right turn.
