Turning in flight
Push the joystick for direction control (Figure 29, no. 6) to the right or left until the model changes direction to the
desired one. Begin with light and brief control movements to see how the model responds. The longer and farther you
push the joystick, the tighter the turns become. At the beginning, try to fly large and wide circles. Once the model flies
in the desired direction, move the joystick back to the centre position.
When performing a turn, always pay attention to the altitude. If the model loses altitude, increase the motor power for
the model to ascend again.
Trimming the model
If the model has a strong tendency to perform uncontrolled turns, this indicates a faulty adjustment of the wings (see
chapter 11. g). Try adjusting the wings so that the model flies as straight as possible.
For fine adjustments, you can use the transmitter trim.
If the model wants to perform a left turn, press the trim button for the direction control function to the right ("R" trim
button) until the model flies straight again.
If the model flies to the right, be sure to adjust with the trim button for the direction control function to the left ("L" trim
button).
Important!
The trim is not saved in the transmitter and must be reset each time the transmitter is turned on, if neces-
sary.
Landing
Similar to take-off, the landing should always be performed against the wind. Reduce the motor power and fly in big
flat circles to slowly reduce the altitude.
Select the last curve before the approach for a landing so that in case of an emergency you would have sufficient
room for landing and so that you would not have to effect considerable corrections to the course during the approach
for a landing. If the model flies on the planned landing line, reduce the motor rotation speed further so that the model
looses height and flies towards the intended landing spot at the end of the imaginary runway.
If the model loses altitude too quickly, accelerate a bit until the model flies on the landing line again. Only turn off the
motors completely right before touchdown.
