11. Operating as a wing model

The operation of the model aircraft as a quadrocopter is described in chapter 10.

a) Installing the wing model

If the transparent reinforcing strips are not factory
mounted on the fuselage, remove the protective film
from the strips.
Attach the reinforcing strips on both sides of the fuse-
lage (Figure 23).
Pay attention to the arrangement of the two holes in the
fuselage and the reinforcing strips.
The bracket for the quadrocopter is inserted in the two
holes in the fuselage and then clipped (Figure 22).
Make sure the edge of the bracket (see arrow in Figure
23) faces upwards to the wing. This edge later stabi-
lises the bracket with the quadrocopter.
Our tip for mounting the bracket:
Lay the fuselage flat on the table so that the front pro-
trudes over the edge of the table (the rudder points to
the left).
Then push both hooks of the bracket through the first
reinforcing strip and the fuselage (ensure correct ori-
entation, see Figure 23); the edge points upwards to-
wards the wing.
Then flip the fuselage over and push both hooks
through the second reinforcing strip.
Now use a pair of small needle-nose pliers to close the
holder.
