g) Practical flight tips for first operation

Although the model can be flown in a very confined space, we recommend using an unobstructed space of approx.
3 x 3 m for first flight attempts.
The surface should be flat (tiles, parquet flooring, or similar) to allow you to determine whether the model tends to drift
off in a particular direction before take off.
When flying the quadrocopter outdoors for the first time, there should be no wind.
Place yourself directly behind your quadrocopter. As long as the tail with the red LED is pointing towards you, and
you see your model from behind, it will respond from your perspective to the right, left, forward and backward control
commands just as you see it. However, if your model has its front towards you, it will react in the opposite way to the
steering commands on the transmitter from your perspective.
Important!
Do not pull the joystick for the pitch function downwards suddenly as this will cause the quadrocopter to
reduce flight altitude very quickly and, in the event of a hard landing, it could sustain damage. Pull the
joystick back slowly and reduce flight altitude carefully.
If the propellers hit any objects and become blocked, pull the joystick for the pitch function to the motor off
position to quickly disable the motors in order to protect the drive and propellers.
Caution!
Do not try to grab hold of the flying quadrocopter with your hands. There is an increased risk of injury!
If the quadrocopter is used outdoors, pay attention to the flight distance. The further away the quadrocopter is from
you, the harder it is to recognise the attitude.
When the white quadrocopter LEDs start to flash, the flight rechargeable battery has reached its lower voltage limit. To
protect the flight rechargeable battery from detrimental deep discharge, land the model immediately.
After a cool down period (5 – 10 minutes), recharge the flight rechargeable battery to avoid deep discharge that is
detrimental to the flight rechargeable battery.
Never switch off the transmitter while the quadrocopter is flying. For safety reasons, the quadrocopter will
reduce the drive power in this case and completely deactivate the drive after a few seconds. The same
applies when the quadrocopter stops receiving signals from the transmitter because it is too far away.
