5. Product description

Quadrocopter mode
The quadrocopter included is ready to fly. It features four separately controlled motors, each of which drives its own
propeller. Using the simultaneous acceleration of all propellers, the quadrocopter can lift off the ground and hover
steadily in the air at appropriate propeller speeds.
For stabilisation in flight, the quadrocopter has a sophisticated system of electronics with position and acceleration
sensors (6-axis gyro) that is designed to detect uncontrolled movements of the model and immediately compensate
for them.
For flight in a certain direction, the electronics in the model recognise the control impulses of the transmitter and alter
the speeds of the individual motors accordingly. The quadrocopter thus tilts in the desired direction and the lift thereby
also acts as propulsion. The quadrocopter flies in the respective direction.
On the quadrocopter, two propellers turn clockwise and two turn anti-clockwise. As a result, the torques of the four
propellers compensate one another. Through a targeted change of speed of the two propeller groups relative to each
other (propellers rotating to the right rotate somewhat faster and propellers rotating to the left rotate somewhat slower
or vice versa), it is possible to turn (yaw) the quadrocopter around the vertical axis while keeping the same flight
altitude and the quadrocopter at the same spot.
The quadrocopter has three white LEDs on the front and two red LEDs on the rear to better recognise its orientation
in flight. These LEDs also serve as status LEDs. The coloured propellers also serve to indicate the orientation of the
quadrocopter.
If necessary, the quadrocopter can perform roll-overs (flips) in any direction.
Aircraft mode
As a special feature, the quadrocopter can be installed in the included fuselage. This "aircraft" consists of several rigid
foam sheets, which can be put together without tools. Subsequently, the quadrocopter can be inserted vertically in a
special holder. The quadrocopter then serves as a controllable drive for the aircraft.
The four motors/propellers of the quadrocopter also control the direction so that no separate elevator/rudder is re-
quired.
Transmitter
When in quadrocopter mode, use the two buttons on the transmitter to switch between beginner and normal modes.
In beginner mode, control sensitivity is reduced. In aircraft mode, however, normal mode should always be used to
ensure maximum control sensitivity of the model.
To operate the transmitter, two AAA batteries are required (not included).
