g) Checking the wing adjustment

Before take-off, be sure to check the adjustment of wings and adjust as necessary. The wing adjustment has an
extremely large influence on flight stability and flight direction. Because the model is made of moulded foam, the
wings can be easily warped asymmetrically. This is not a problem, because the moulded foam can be easily formed
by hand in the right direction.
Be sure to check the orientation of the wings before each flight. To control the position of the wings, look at your model
from a distance from behind.
Checking the tilt
For the model to fly straight ahead, the wings must not be
twisted to each other. This would be the case if the trailing
edge of one wing half were lower and the trailing edge of
the other wing were higher (see Figure 36 A).
Carefully twist the wings in the appropriate direction so
that both trailing edges are at the same height (see Figure
36 B).
Checking the V-shape
In order for the model to have greater stability around the longitudinal axis, the wing should have a V-shape. For this
purpose, the two wing halves are angled slightly upwards. In addition to the V-shape, the wing tips can also be angled
slightly upwards (see Figure 37). In this case you get a double V-shape.
Important!
When adjusting the V-shape, make sure the tilt fits and the wings are not twisted.

Practical tips:

If the model performs uncontrolled circles to the left, the trailing edge of the left wing is probably too low.
This creates more drag on the left and the model flies to the left.
In case of uncontrolled circles to the right, the trailing edge of the right wing is too low.
