13. Troubleshooting

This model and the remote control were built using the latest technology. However, faults and malfunction may still
occur. We would, therefore, like to show you how to correct potential faults.
Problem
The remote control doesn't respond.
LED on the transmitter does not light up.
The transmitter LED flashes.
The model doesn't respond.
The propellers do not start.
The quadrocopter tilts to the side during
take-off.
The quadrocopter has too little power or
too short flight times.
The quadrocopter always flies in one
direction.
The quadrocopter (or the wing model)
responds very sluggishly to the control
commands.
The wing model ascends or descends
too fast.
The wing model performs uncontrolled
turns.

Solution
• Check the batteries in the transmitter.
• Check the polarity of the batteries in the transmitter.
• Replace the batteries in the transmitter with new ones.
• Check the function of the remote control transmitter.
• Power on the model and the transmitter again.
• Charge the flight rechargeable battery.
• Power on the model and the transmitter again.
• Power on the model and the transmitter again; do not move the
model when doing so.
• If the model is operated as a quadrocopter, it must be horizontal dur-
ing the power-on process.
• If the model is operated as a wing model, the quadrocopter inserted
therein must be vertical during the power-on process.
• Check the ease of movement of the drive motors.
• Charge the flight rechargeable battery.
• Adjust the trim on the transmitter.
• There are unfavourable flight conditions (wind or draft).
• Use normal mode on the transmitter (press the "2" button).
• The tailplane is firmly fixed before take-off and can not be controlled.
Change the position of the tailplane and perform another test flight.
• Due to the fixed tailplane, the height control is mainly carried out via
the sensitive control of the drive power.
• Reform the wings as described in chapter 11 g).
