12. Maintenance and cleaning

Clean the exterior of the model and the remote control with a soft, dry cloth or brush. Never use abrasive cleaning
agents or chemical solutions, as these may damage the surface of the case.
The propellers must move smoothly and motor shafts should not be bent or have any play in the bearing. Propellers
that are cracked or bent or from which small pieces have broken off must always be replaced.
Replacing the propellers
The propellers are simply pushed onto the motor shafts of
the drive motors and can be removed carefully upwards
from the shafts.
When removing, make sure that the motor shaft is not
bent, do not use force.
When selecting the new propeller, always note the direc-
tion of rotation.
The propellers have not only different colours (for better
visibility of the flight direction), but also different direction
of rotation (ensure the angle of attack of the rotor blades).
In addition, you will also find "F" and "R" marks on the
underside of the propellers (see assignment in Figure 38).
Important!
If the propellers are reversed, the flight behav-
iour is uncontrollable.
The new propeller should be positioned on the motor shaft straight from above and pushed carefully down as far as
it will go.

Do not use force or unsuitable tools.
