[Text strings] button
Touch this button to open the [Setting - Receipt - Text
strings] screen, where you can set text strings appearing
on receipts. You can set three, 20-character lines of text
that appear at the bottom of receipts.
Touch the [Text strings1] button (text entry of the first
line), the [Text strings2] button (text entry of the second
line), or the [Text strings3] button to open the text input
screen.
For details about how to input text strings, see Steps 5
and 6 of "Annotating Images" (page 32).
[Date Stamp] button
Select the format in which the date is to be printed on the
receipt. For example:
Format September 15, 2002
YYYYMMDD 2002/09/15
DDMMYYYY 15/09/2002
MMDDYYYY 09/15/2002
Touch this button to open the date format screen, touch
the date format you want to use, then touch the [OK]
button.
SETTING END
• Touch the [OK] button to temporarily save the settings
that you made. To confirm the settings, touch the [OK]
button repeatedly until the screen prompting you to
confirm whether you want to save the settings appears,
then touch the [OK] button to close the configuration
screen.
• Touch the [Cancel] button to ignore the modifications
that you made and restore the previous settings. If you
touch this button on the screen that appears
immediately after you touch one of the tabs, all the
settings that you have made on that tab are ignored,
and the screen returns to the password entry screen.

[Setting - Diagnostic] Screen

Touch the [Diagnostic] tab to open the screen and run
the diagnostics of the peripheral devices connected to
the unit.
[All] button
Touch this button to run the diagnostic program for the
SCSI peripherals and flatbed scanner connected to the
unit. If any abnormality is detected, a message appears.
For more details about messages, please refer to the
Operating Instructions. Touch the [OK] button to close
the message screen.
[UP-DR100], [UP-D70A], [UY-S90/100],
[FlatbedScanner] buttons
Touch the button labeled for a device to run the
diagnostics program for that device. If any abnormality
is detected, a message appears. For more details about
messages, please refer to the Operating Instructions.
Touch the [OK] button to close the message screen.
SETTING END
• Touch the [OK] button to temporarily save the settings
that you made. To confirm the settings, touch the [OK]
button repeatedly until the screen prompting you to
confirm whether you want to save the settings appears,
then touch the [OK] button to close the configuration
screen.
• Touch the [Cancel] button to ignore all the settings
that you have made in other setting screens, restore the
previous settings, and return to the password entry
screen.
